Darlington fans will soon have the opportunity to secure their away shirts, with an exclusive weekend for those fans who paid to have their names on the shirt.

Quakers offered the opportunity to supporters to have their names placed on the material on the new special edition red away shirt specially designed to commemorate the club's 125th anniversary in 2008. The shirt will be worn by the players in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons and the response was very high with around 900 fans taking advantage to become a part of history.

Samples received from kit manufacturer Vandanel have now been agreed by the club and production can begin in earnest. Shirts will be available exclusively to supporters who put their name on the shirt on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September between 10am and 4pm from the Platinum Lounge at the Darlington Arena - the town centre shop will be closed on these two days. The shirts will go on general sale at the club shops on Monday 10th September.
