FC Augsburg are set to cause a sensation once again next season. On the field, hopes are running high following a successful current campaign.
Off the field, Augsburg are sure to look impressive next term no matter what, for to coincide with the club's 100th anniversary, they have signed up a new kit and clothing supplier: Do You Football .
The new partnership was brokered by FC Augsburg's marketing agency SPORTFIVE.
The Do You Football brand stands for out-of-the-ordinary football clothing with innovative design - and has already caused quite a stir at regional league club FC St Pauli. Do You Football also places importance on its team sport and merchandising products being affordable for the fans. "This philosophy ties in well with our own," says Andreas Rettig, FC Augsburg's chief executive, elaborating on the reasons for the partnership. "We too aim to offer our fans good football at a fair price. That naturally includes high-quality merchandise that provides good value for money."
For Do You Football boss Bernd von Geldern, FC Augsburg is the perfect partner: "There are very few clubs with a history so steeped in tradition and such a loyal following as FC Augsburg," he says.
The club and Do You Football will be unveiling the new collection to the fans and the general public in June. "Our aim with the FC Augsburg range is to enable fans to identify with the club even more closely than before," promises von Geldern.
"The Do You Football brand takes a very individual approach and is therefore a great match for FC Augsburg and the club's current situation," explains Christian Kothe, head of the Augsburg SPORTFIVE team. "We are delighted to have been able to sign up Do You Football for a long-term, credible brand partnership with FC Augsburg."
Before the final whistle of the season, FC Augsburg presents its new principal sponsor, the market-leading broker of private health insurance, impuls Finanzmanagement AG. The impuls logo will grace FCA's jerseys starting with the 2007/2008 season. Beyond classic shirt sponsorship, the package put together by FCA's marketing agent SPORTFIVE includes TV perimeter advertising, CamCarpets, a VIP ticket allotment, and extensive logo presence at the Rosenau stadium. impuls Finanzmanagement AG will be supported in its sponsorship by the AMEDIA sports marketing agency and STOCKHEIM MEDIA communications consultants.
"FC Augsburg is the perfect partner for us. We not only have common roots in the region, but also a comparable success story," pointed out impuls AG CEO Herbert Nißel. Accordingly, both teams have big plans for the 2007/ 2008 season. "impuls and FC Augsburg can reap the rewards of long years of professional work," said Nißel, underscoring the shared ambitions. "We've managed to become one of Germany's top financial services providers and will stand our ground there. FC Augsburg played a fabulous season and now has the chance at becoming a fixture in professional German football for many years to come. We'd like to join the fans in doing our part to ensure this."
"We are happy to have won impuls AG as a strong and reliable principal sponsor for the future," said Walther Seinsch, Chairman of the FC Augsburg Board. "We look forward to working with our new partner."
"By signing impuls AG for FC Augsburg, we've found the club a chief sponsor that has experienced a very similar success story in recent years," declares Christian Kothe, head of SPORTFIVE's Augsburg team. "I am convinced that this new partnership will be a mutually rewarding one."
