Kappa is pleased to introduce the next development in Kombat evolution, the Kombat 2007 celebrating 130 years of The Football Association of Wales, the new playing shirt for Wales in 2007.

Designed in collaboration with the FAW and in celebration of 130 years of The Football Association of Wales, the new playing shirt for the Welsh National Team for 2007 sees a return to the Kombat philosophy: STRETCH, LIGHTWEIGHT, COOL, STYLISH.

Following in the footsteps of previous Kombat innovations, the new Kombat 2007 is made from Sensitive® Plus fabric developed to meet the requirements of performance football. With a patented structure of Meryl® and Lycra® the special composition provides maximum softness and lightness.

Maximum comfort is ensured with a good fit thanks to "four way" stretch, being equal in both directions. The fabric also allows for maximum breathability and aids in the evaporation of moisture to keep the players fresh and dry.

The design inspiration follows a more modern look, away from traditional usage of block colours and incorporates the use of red, green and white, with alternative coloured raglan sleeves and corresponding side insert triangles. An additional new feature is the v-neck collar.

Maintaining the clean elegant lines of the Kombat, the Federation logo is the only focal point on the front of the shirt with embroidered omini’s on the sleeves. The shirt was first worn by the team in the friendly home game against New Zealand on the 26th May 2007.
