St. Mirren unveiled their new home and away kits made by Hummel for the 2008-09 season. The traditional home colours of St. Mirren are black and white strips, however for the first season the colours were Scarlet and Blue.

It is unknown as to how exactly the colours black and white were chosen, however popular theories include, that north of Paisley the Black Cart and White Cart Rivers meet, and that monks of Paisley Abbey wore Black and White robes.

The strips have varied very little, however the thickness of the strips has often varied, with pinstripes being popular, and indeed some years have seen horizontal stripes.

Away tops are traditionally red or all black, however in some cases strips have varied from orange to light blue, as seen on the 2007-2008 strip. Since 07/08, the Danish firm, Hummel International, have replaced Xara as kit-manufacturers.

Olympique de Marseille unveiled their new away kit for the 08/09 season made by adidas. The originality comes from its printed jacquard. The design is very "today" and with this trendy design, cut and polo style collar, the away jersey has everything to seduce supporters so that they can wear the colours of their club to the stadium, and outside on a daily basis. According to tradition, the other 2 official jerseys 08-09 (home and third) will be presented later.

SC Freiburg Unveiled their new home shirt for the 2008-09 season made by Jako. The club traces its origins to a pair of clubs founded in 1904: Freiburger Fußballverein 04 was organized in March of that year; FC Schwalbe Freiburg just two months later.

Both clubs underwent name changes, with Schwalbe becoming FC Mars in 1905, Mars becoming Union Freiburg in 1906, and FV 04 Freiburg becoming Sportverein Freiburg 04 in 1909. Three years later, SV and Union formed Sportclub Freiburg, at the same time incorporating the griffin head seen in their crest from a mintmark used by the city.

This is the new Birmingham City Home kit for the 08-09 season made by Umbro. After Birmingham City unveiled their new away "penguin" shirt, they go for a blue home shirt with some white details for the 2008/2009 season.

For the 2007–08 season Birmingham used the "penguin" design on the home shirt in a more traditional, darker shade of royal blue, with white shorts and blue socks. Next season's strip is again manufactured by Umbro and carries the name of the same sponsors, F&C Investments.

Borrussia Dortmund and Nike act like rabbits these days when it comes to producing kits..This time they produced a new away kit for the 2008-2009 season after all those home kits recently.

The shorts are all yellow with the BVB logo on the right thigh. However, BVB can also play in all black as there is also a set of Black shorts. The jersey is made from the Nike Dri-Fit system using innovative and highly functional materials which help the players reach their full potential even under different conditions.

Nike Dri-Fit transports perspiration through the jersey material away from the body where it can evaporate, keeping the skin fresh and cool. Additional mesh inlays on the sides and on the back also support the fast relief from perspiration.

Canterbury has certainly turned heads in the football world in gaining the sponsorship of a side in the premiership this season, not least because of its status as virtually unknown in the sport 12 months ago, but also for bringing what has been billed as the most cutting-edge and forward thinking kits. Colchester United unveiled the new Puma kit designs for the 2008-2009 season. The U's Yellow Army will be back in action in 2008/9 as the club have announced they will be reverting to the popular away kit colour next season.

Following their link up with Puma for the next four seasons, the U's have redesigned their kits for the new era at the Community Stadium and yellow is to be the choice of colour for the club's away days next season. Yellow was of course the colour worn by the U's when they were last in League One, as they gained promotion at Yeovil in May 2006.

This is the new Real Madrid home kit for the 08/09 season. Leaked pictures of the home and away adidas shirts are on the web for a while now, But Real Madrid will unveil next season's kit during their title celebration ceremony at the Santiago Bernabéu on 18 May.

The new home kit includes a collared shirt with black trim, while the away shirt is a cobalt blue with white trim. Both include adidas' revolutionary ClimaCool® with flow mapping technology which enhances player performance by keeping the body at optimal temperature.
