For the eighth consecutive year Palermo launched the new kits made by Lotto Sport Italia. The multi-annual cooperation which will last until 2010 says the Italian "Technical Sponsor and Official Supplier" of Palermo will provide the next season 2008/2009, clothing and accessories for matches, training and leisure from the first team to youth.
Palermo originally played with red and blue as its official colours since its foundation in 1898, but decided to switch to the current choice of pink and black on February 27, 1907, contemporarily to the change of denomination to Palermo Foot-Ball Club.
The colours' choice were suggested by count Giuseppe Airoldi, a prominent founding member of the club. In a letter Airoldi wrote on February 2, 1905 to club councillor Joseph Whitaker, he defined pink and black as "colours of the sad and the sweet", a choice he asserted to be a good fit for a team characterized by "results as up and down as a Swiss clock", noting also the fact that red and blue were a widely diffuse choice of colours at the time.

Juventus have unveiled the new 08/09 home and away kits for their return to the top European level. On the first day back from the holidays, the new kit to be used in the 2008/09 season was unveiled at the Media Center in Vinovo. Technical sponsors Nike took inspiration from the Club's successful past to create the kits. Indeed the home strip recalls the legendary '70s period, while the away shirt's gold colour celebrates Juve's international triumphs.
The home shirt is obviously black and white, but with slightly larger bands than last season's one. The stripe in the middle of the shirt, under the V-neck collar, is black. After the use of red last year, detailing is back in the classic yellow, a colour which appears on the armholes, on the lower rim and in the front part of the black collar. The numbers (and players' names) and the famous Nike "tick" logo are also in yellow. The shorts are white with yellow profiles, with the swoosh and the number in black on the left side and the Juventus logo on the right. Socks are black with a white rim and have the Nike logo and the name Juventus on them.

Hearts revealed the new 08/09 home kit made by Umbro ahead of its launch on Friday 25th July - and for the first time in the club's history the Jambos will be in all-maroon, next season!
The pure-maroon design, a real 'back to the roots' classic is likely to be highly popular with supporters, and will remind everyone of the 2006 Scottish Cup victory!
Like the away shirt, the home shirt features the club's year of formation, '1874' embroidered on the inside of the collar and the words, 'Hearts, Hearts Glorious Hearts' on the inside of the bottom of the shirt.
