Arsenal revealed its away kit for the 2008/09 season, which is based on the iconic kit worn when the Club won the League Championship in dramatic style in 1989. The kit sees a return to a yellow and blue shirt, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Club winning the League in the last match of the season at Anfield on 26th May 1989. To mark this special occasion, current Arsenal stars lined up for the promotional photoshoot alongside legends from that great night including goalscorers Alan Smith and Michael Thomas.
Produced by manufacturers Nike, the kit features a yellow and blue shirt with a red stripe down the sleeves and body. ‘Gunners’ is stamped on the neck and, as with the new Arsenal home shirt, this kit brings a welcome return to the Club's motto 'Victory through Harmony' from the Latin inscription 'Victoria Concordia Crescit', which is included in the inside neck of the shirt. The kit is made from Nike Dri-Fit, an innovative technology that enhances player performance by drawing sweat away from the body through to the fabric’s surface to evaporate, while its three-dimensional construction allows for more air space around the skin to reduce clinging.
Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas said of the ’89 League win: “I was only two years old on that famous night, but I know the players are legends, everyone loves them and we all hope that we can do the same with this team. It is always a great feeling when you score or win a match, so imagine what it feels like if you win the League in those circumstances. Every player would like to live a moment like Michael did.”

These are the new Fiorentina 2008-2009 Home, away and 3rd football shirts made by Lotto.
Originally when Fiorentina was founded in 1926, the red and white halves shirts were derived from the colour of the city emblem. The more well known and highly distinctive purple kit was adopted in 1928 and has been theirs ever since; giving them the nickname La viola ("The Purple (team)").
Traditionally it is said that the purple kit became Fiorentina's by mistake, after an accident washing the old red and white coloured kits in the river.

These are the new Raith Rovers 08/09 home and away football kits. Manufactured by PUMA , The home top is Navy and White in colour, and to commemorate the club’s 125th birthday, is based on the strip worn by the team during the 1880’s, and similar in design to that worn by English side Blackburn Rovers.
The away kit is Silver with Red panels, and both tops carry the club crest and PUMA logo on the front above the logo of this season’s main sponsors and local building company Penman of Kirkcaldy. The home shirt also carries '125 years' in gold under the club crest.
Commenting on the colours, chairman Dave Somerville said: “We are delighted to show off the heritage of Raith Rovers in releasing a home shirt that reflects our history. The shirt with two halves in navy and white is very close to our original kit in 1883, and I especially like the addition to our badge commemorating the club’s 125th birthday.
“To top it all, we are delighted to have joined forces again with local prestige building company, Penman of Kirkcaldy, who have supported the club for many years and are raising the profile of this support again.”

East Fife unveiled the new Home kit for the 08/09 season made by Hummel. The club, established in 1903, boasts a distinguished and unique history, being the first club to win the Scottish League Cup three times and the only club to win the prestigious Scottish Cup that were not a Premier League Team, which at that time was the second tier of the Scottish league structure (it is now the third tier).
East Fife are one of four senior clubs based in the Fife region but are the only one to bear the name of the area. The three other clubs are Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline Athletic and the Kirkcaldy based Raith Rovers, all of whom have historically shared rivalries with East Fife.
