Raith Rovers 08/09 Home and Away Puma kits

These are the new Raith Rovers 08/09 home and away football kits. Manufactured by PUMA , The home top is Navy and White in colour, and to commemorate the club’s 125th birthday, is based on the strip worn by the team during the 1880’s, and similar in design to that worn by English side Blackburn Rovers.

The away kit is Silver with Red panels, and both tops carry the club crest and PUMA logo on the front above the logo of this season’s main sponsors and local building company Penman of Kirkcaldy. The home shirt also carries '125 years' in gold under the club crest.

Commenting on the colours, chairman Dave Somerville said: “We are delighted to show off the heritage of Raith Rovers in releasing a home shirt that reflects our history. The shirt with two halves in navy and white is very close to our original kit in 1883, and I especially like the addition to our badge commemorating the club’s 125th birthday.

“To top it all, we are delighted to have joined forces again with local prestige building company, Penman of Kirkcaldy, who have supported the club for many years and are raising the profile of this support again.”

Brondby IF 08/09 Home Unicef Adidas shirt launched

Danish league club Brondby presented the 08/09 home football shirt made by Adidas with the new Unicef sponsorship deal. Brondby IF announced a five-year agreement with the local Kasi Group that makes jewelry back in october 2007.

Instead of wearing the Kasi Group logo, players wear the logo of the United Nations children's agency UNICEF on their jerseys and Brondby will channel 10 million kroner (1.89 million dollars) to UNICEF from the Kasi Group sponsorship deal.

East Fife unveiled the new Home kit for the 08/09 season made by Hummel. The club, established in 1903, boasts a distinguished and unique history, being the first club to win the Scottish League Cup three times and the only club to win the prestigious Scottish Cup that were not a Premier League Team, which at that time was the second tier of the Scottish league structure (it is now the third tier).

East Fife are one of four senior clubs based in the Fife region but are the only one to bear the name of the area. The three other clubs are Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline Athletic and the Kirkcaldy based Raith Rovers, all of whom have historically shared rivalries with East Fife.

Rangers 08/09 Home Umbro Football kit launched

Rangers FC launched te new home football kit for the 2008/2009 season made by Umbro The new shirt is traditional Rangers Blue with an embroidered Rangers scroll crest on the left breast, an Umbro logo on the right and is anatomically cut to emphasize the athleticism of the modern player.

It features a hybrid neckline with no exposed seems for added comfort and a twill mesh body fabric which makes it lightweight and breathable. On the back of the shirt there is a trilogy back panel - a new version of Umbro's lead fabric technology specifically developed to include a zonal body map mesh design - and also features a Saltire on the back neck.

The shirt is complemented by traditional white shorts and black and red socks while the home shorts will also carry the Rangers Charity Foundation logo on the rear for the first time.

FC Basel 2008-2009 Home Nike football kit

FC Basel unveiled the new home kit for the 2008-2009 season made by Nike. FC Basel's traditional kit is red and blue shirts, blue shorts with gold trim and blue socks with red trim.

From this comes the nickname "RotBlau" which is Swiss German for Red and Blue. FC Basel's kits are manufactured by Nike and sponsored by Novartis, a multinational pharmaceutical company which is based in the city of Basel.

The famous "blaugrana" colours of FC Barcelona are said to have originated from the "rotblau" colours of FC Basel. FC Barcelona was founded by former FC Basel captain Joan Gamper.

Lazio Roma 08-09 Puma Football Kits unveiled

These are the new lazio Roma 2008/2009 home, away, 3rd and goalkeeper kits made by Puma. Lazio's colours of white and sky blue were inspired by the national emblem of Greece, due to the fact that Lazio is a mixed sports club this was chosen in recognition of the fact that the Ancient Olympic Games and along with it the sporting tradition in Europe is linked to Greece.

Originally Lazio wore a shirt which was divided into white and sky blue quarters, with black shorts and socks. After a while of wearing a plain white shirt very early on, Lazio reverted to the colours which they wear today. Some seasons Lazio have used a sky blue and white shirt with stripes, but usually it is sky blue with a white trim, with the white shorts and socks. The club's colours have led to their Italian nickname of biancocelesti.

Sporting Clube de Portugal unveiled the new 08/09 home and away kits made by Puma. The club was established in 1902 as Sport Club de Belas, which became Campo Grande Sporting Club in 1904, and took its definitive name of Sporting Clube de Portugal in 1906.

Along with S.L. Benfica and F.C. Porto, Sporting Clube de Portugal is one of the "Big Three" sports clubs in Portugal. It is the club with the greatest number of medals won by its athletes in Olympic competitions, and one of the most remarkable at the European level regarding the number of trophies won in every sport, coming in second place, next to FC Barcelona.

Wrexham FC 08/09 Home and Away Umbro football kits

Wrexham FC unveiled its new kit for the 2008/09 season made by Umbro. The Reds' new home kit is due out in mid-August while delivery of the away kit, which was supposed to be available from Saturday, has been delayed. Samples of both home and away shirts are on view at the club shop and the club is continuing to take orders from those who want to buy the new kit.

Umbro director of football Simon Marsh said: "As a partner of the club it is with regret that we have placed Wrexham Football Club and its fans in a situation whereby the intended launch of the new away kit has been delayed.

"We accept full responsibility and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
