Diadora announced its new 3 years sponsorship agreement with Standard Liege, the current champions of the Jupiler League, the Belgian First Division.

The new kits developed for the 2008/09 season in red, white and blue colour way mirrors Diadora’s idea of innovation and style as a winning recipe for success and is the result of the Gamma project: designed like two gammas meeting and complementing each-other, this is the very first project that embraces both uniforms and accessories, from ball to shin-guards, from boots to keeper’s gloves, a total look that speaks of study and development.

Diadora is very happy of this enriching relationship with Standard Liege, a team also known as "Les Rouches" ("The Reds") for the colour of their home shirts, that embodies the essential values Diadora want to communicate when it comes to sports: team spirit, resilience, passion and talent.

Paris Saint-Germain unveiled their new home shirt for the 2008-09 season made by Nike who support the club since 1989. Le Coq Sportif were the original equipment supplier from 1970 to 1975. Adidas took over for the 1975-76 season, before a return to the first brand for 1976-1977. Pony was the supplier in 1977-78, before another joint effort with Le Coq Sportif, from 1978 to 1986. Adidas returned until 1989, at which point Nike took over supply duties, and they remain the equipment supplier to the present day.

Fashion designer Daniel Hechter collaborated with the club in May 1973 to design an iconic shirt which would become a strong symbol of the club. It was composed of a blue shirt with a red central vertical bar framed by white edgings. This shirt was originally in use in 1973-1974 in Division 2. The tone and shade of the red and blue has changed over time, as has the dimension and alignment of the red central band. This shirt is in use to the present day, despite proposed implementations of new designs, with the main reason being the supporters' rejection.

Manchester City FC is proud to unveil its new away kit for the forthcoming 2008-09 season, in association with Official Club Sponsor, Thomas Cook, and Official Sportswear Partner, le coq sportif.

This year’s strips are a return to tradition, with the popular red and black stripes for the away shirt, first introduced by Malcolm Allison in 1968 and worn for many of the Club’s victorious domestic and European cup campaigns of the late 60s and early 70s. The new shirts are again amongst the most competitively priced in the Premier League, with prices held from last year at £30 for adults and just £19 for juniors.
