Ajax and adidas unveiled the new Ajax home kit for the 2008/2009 season. With AEGON as the new head sponsor, the logo of the sponsor is shown horizontally for the first time in 18 years.

The Ajax logo is placed on the heart. A white badge is used on which the Ajax logo is embroidered, so that it creates a retro style. This classic style is also carried forward into the design of the shirt, with a round collar and fitted shape. The new Ajax-away kit will be officially launched on Friday, July 25.

I like, very basic but in the best possible way.

Too simple. I absolutely despise those adidas GK kits.

I was board with the never ever ever changing ajax strips, but i really like this one, couldn\'t explain why though really.

Sorry \'too simple\'? Why of course, they could take their classic design and burger it up with some extra stripes or trim.

Oh yeah and Arsenal could get rid of white sleeves.

the white badge is stupid, it was better if it was stitched like on the previous shirts. The adidas logo should have been put on the left. The collar is nice

average shirt me thinks

As long as it doesnt have the three stripes on the sleeves, i think its brilliant. It is a unique design for Ajax too, because the red part is broader and the round collar is amazing.

Dkool -it is an exact intrepration of the johan cruff total football kit of the mid-seventies.
Weather that is a good thing or not will be mixed opinion.
But every single year they parade a variation on the same kit, collers with round neck last year, this year round necks and that is it.
And how do they manage to not wear 3 stripes when every club/country (aside all-blacks rugby team )have to wear the stripes? Is it in their contract?

Not using the 3 stripes on the sleeves was a good choice:-)! Nice kit!

Considering they always have the same kit each season at least this one looks slightly different.

Simple is always best with a shirt like this.

I think its an alright top.

First I want to give FSC a compliment. The shirts that should be laeked out (look at AJAX SHIRT 08 09 LEAKED???)
These shirts are good look-alikes. Only the club badge and the adidas logo are on a different place.
Shirt looks the same

That give me a good hope that this site is also right about the away shirt. who knows

About the three adidas stripes
these will only be used in the international cup
because the great rival of AJAX, Feyenoord Rotterdam had adidas before. The AJAX fans didnt want that the shirts looks like the Feyenoord shirt.
Feyenoord wears KAPPA now!!

Its a very nicy kit, its finaly something different!
I like the badge also :cheer:
With ABN-Amro they got 7 million in the end of the year, now with Aegon they get 13 million its much much better B) I also heard that they want to buy Podolski from Bayern and Boularouz from Sevilla.
If they have them i think Ajax will be the champion with Van Basten. Because Gomes is leaving PSV eindhoven finaly.

A nice new fresh shirt for Ajax. I like the way they put aegon. But the shirt would been better if the logo was stitched in the shirt.

Even adidas\' annoying habit of their logo in the centre of shirt instead of right-side breast, isn\'t enough to quell my enthusiasm. Nice one, Cyril!

Same here, but I gave a 3/5 because there isn\'t anything special about them to me. If anything, the badge material and application is the best thing about the jersey.

the adidas logo should be on the left side, creating more balance.
Now its in-balance and loose ends, also the old ajax logo should be on this shirt not the 90\'s Designed one.
More so adidas logo should not be highest in hierarchie.

besides that its a nice classic shirt.

very nice indeed, no stripes on the sleeves makes all the difference.
but, the adidas logo on the right to balance the kit would have been better.
or centre badge & stick the logo on the sleeve a la MUFC 85.

SImple, boring. But on the other hand, what can you do with Ajax shirt? It must be red white huge red line in the centre, whoever makes design for them - doesn`t have a lot of space.

The horizontal sponsor looks too weird on their kit. Decent kit, though.

that\'s a classy looking ajax shirt. i\'d even buy that, but my family would probably kill me because white and red means river plate to them.

How old are you anyway? Do don\'t know sh*t!

The only reason there are no adidas stripes on the sleeves is because the those stripes do not belong on an Ajax shirt. Sleeves and part of shoulder has to be white.
In the early period of adidas hardcore fans demonstrated an took action against those stripes. After several meetings with board and adidas those stripes were banned, except for european matches and away kits.

In general, adidas was not wanted because they had sponsored our biggest rivals from rottendam.

You mixed two things up.

Nice kit, sad to see abn-amro gone, time for change. The player is Siem de Jong, another product of the youth acadamy. very good mid-fielder.
