Dundee F.C unveiled their new Bukta away kit for the 08-09 season. Bukta are now not only the kit suppliers for Dundee F.C but are also going to be their main sponsor on both the new Home and Away kit for 2008/09. The new away kit was shown off to the media for the first time by new signing Darren Young at Dens on Tuesday.

Bukta is one of the oldest sportswear brands in the UK (Est 1879). Nottingham Forrest were the first club to wear the Bukta kit in 1884. Throughout the 1930s Bukta supplied kit the majority of British teams and the brand has been proudly worn by sport icons such as George Best, Bobby Charlton and Jimmy Greaves. Bukta was most popular in the 1970s and 1980s with clubs like Newcastle United and West Ham United wearing Bukta. Johan Cruyff even wore the brand when Ajax won the European Cups in 71/72/73. Bukta success in football continued into the 90s where they supplied to kit to famous clubs such as West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Wolves and Millwall.

Bukta football kit is still going strong with professional clubs today Motherwell, Morton, Millwall and of course Dundee are wearing the brand name. Last year Bukta opened their first stand alone stores in Osaka and Tokyo in Japan. Bukta are enhancing their involvement in the football market with the development of their new and exciting range of team wear due to launch in August 2008 and hope to continue their success and work even closer with Dundee F.C.
