Dundee United unveiled their new 08/09 home and away kits made by Hummel with the new kit sponsor Carbrini Sportswear, which is owned by the UK’s leading sports fashion retailer, JD Sports.
The arrangement will see Dundee United’s kit carry the logo of one JD’s exclusive youth fashion brands, Carbrini Sportswear, on all home and away and replica tops. JD Sports will also become the Club’s shorts sponsor.
Dundee United Chief Executive Stephen Thompson said, "We are delighted to announce this new sponsorship deal and to be associated with such an established name in sports fashion retail. Our current deal expired at the end of the season and following detailed discussion with several parties, we were delighted to secure an early commitment from JD Sports."
Barry Bown, Chief Executive of JD Sports commented: "We are very pleased to be sponsoring Dundee United for the forthcoming season. The deal is a significant step in developing the JD Sports and Carbrini Sportswear brands in Scotland and we'll be working very closely with the club to make the partnership a success."
The home kit will be on sale from 21 July and deliveries of the away kit are expected around the same time.

The only thing I think lets it down is the bandanna like collar.
Does this mean that Dundee\'s tactics for the new season is going to be all defensive and mainly use the wings to take pot shots at passersby like some Scottish/football related Banditos?
I don\'t like this hummel template,it reminds me Diadora 2005-06 design..and also dundee colours don\'t make me go crazy.
Good the socks
The socks look a deeper shade of tangerine than the top which is interesting.
p.s. Guys, please remember this is Dundee UNITED and not Dundee which is a totally different football club.
The Cabrini design reminds me of the old Belhaven but this stands out even more.
Don\'t know why United aren\'t going with green or the long requested black and white hoops (circa 1930-59) for the away kit.
The one thing that I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT is that the top is not really tangerine, is it?
Tangerine is supposed to be a darker shade of orange and this quite clearly is not.
