Everton have revealed their new 08/09 Umbro 3rd kit. The fluorescent yellow jersey will be worn on Saturday when Everton take on West Brom Albion.

The kit, which also comprises navy shorts and yellow socks, will be the away kit for European matches too.

Names and numbers will be available in navy, with the special Uefa Cup numbers to be launched prior to the first round of the competition. With the likes of Barcelona adopting the flourescent look in recent years.

Everton midfield stars Mikel Arteta and Tim Cahill donned the kit for the photo shoot and were impressed with the new offering.

You can get your hands on the kit from October 7 in the FSC shop

Why oh why would they do this?

Because their Home Blue and Away White will clash with WBA\'s blue and white stripes?

Anyway, i just thought that an Orange kit like ManCity would suit them, maybe not that Orange, but Holland\'s Orange.

But just that Orange will be like red and that is their neighbour\'s colours.

i quite like it

i kno i kno...fluroscent has been done before by chelski and barca etc but its still quite fashionable.

i would have preferred everton to have spent a little bit more time (and money) on actually buyin some players to wear the shirts tho...

They could get away with wearing blue at West Brom, but don\'t forget they\'d need this glow in the dark kit for the trips to Blackburn and Wigan.

Sheffield United started the trend for fluorescent yellow shirts way back in 1989 with their away kit. So blame them!!

Expect them to use it more often than their away kit

Like I said about Wigan, the fluorescent simply isn\'t novel anymore. It\'s now just a stupid trite fad. Congratulations, Everton, you have no imagination!

Chelski bandwagon???

Twat, they even admitted that they copied Barca\'s shirt from the year before because Abramovich liked it.....

Shirt is very lazy and nothing new, liked the colour on Barca 3 years ago but everything since then has been shite.

Simple fact is that many teams share templates because they dont sell enough to warrant Umbro, Adidas, Nike shelling out on designing something new.

The big 4 have unique shirts (although Lpool & Chelski are similar due to the restrictions of 3 stripes) becaus they sell in their 100,000\'s but the others can only dream of those numbers.

The only exception i can think of is Rangers. They have the same templete as everyone else but far out sell West Ham, Everton, Sunderland, Blacburn etc...

Would be well pissed off if i was one of the their fans.

Oh yeah and this effort is shit, lazy is the perfect word for it

Great we won 1-2 with the new kit, will look better on those weekday night games.

The Yak got the winner.

WBA did a good job like last week, if they continue like that they could stay up.

I like it and will be buying it ASAP the good thing about Everton is they still stick to the new shirt every other season unlike the money grabbing people at Utd and Chelsea with a new shirt every season and thats why Everton are The Peoples Club

Sorry but are you a complete twat (well must be if you a toffee!)????

Man U have the same home shirt as last season and Chelsea had the same home for 2 years....

Im fairly certain Everton went thru a phase a few years ago of changing their home every year???
