Hearts unveiled their new away kit for the 08/09 season made by Umbro. The brand new away kit reflects Hearts' Scottish identify, using a dark navy colour synonymous with Scotland, whilst reflecting an original shirt design that was popular nearly 30 years ago! On either side of the main navy panel, there are white sleeves, with navy flashes. The shorts are navy, whilst the socks are white with navy flashes.

Specific detail on the brand new shirt includes an embroidered tail at the bottom of the back of the shirt with the words, 'Hearts, Hearts, Glorious Hearts'. Inside the neck line of the shirt the club's year of formation, '1874' is also inscribed. On the back of the shirt, above where the name and number is placed, is a Scottish saltire - again reflecting the club's history as a truly Scottish institution. Umbro have designed this unique brand new away kit using their exclusive Climate Control technology, making the kit the coolest Hearts will have ever worn - in every sense of the word! Kids are sure to love the brand new away kit, and with the launch date just in time for the school holidays, it's the perfect chance to make sure they are ready for the summer in tip-top style.

Supporters will be able to see the new kit, as modelled by the players and children in a variety of locations over the next three months including: in store; online; outdoor banners; bus 'super-side' adverts; via direct mail; and on a truly national TV advertising campaign (running from the last week of July until early August).

Good kit... reminds me the Ajax style... but classy. Kind of simple but nice.

Definitely reminds me of Ajax, but not exactly the same. I like the color selection, but the design itself is too plain with no unique or sleek design other then the new Umbro back design used on the Hull City and England tops.

liquorice anyone?

The black shorts makes it way to heavy.

Burgundy instead of the white and dark blue instead of the black would have been better. At least more imaginative.

Burgendy would have meant it clashing with the home kit.
The back looks really good detail-wise, the front(penguin,Ajax etc) looks goos as well plus the socks with the diamonds halfway down the socks look good.
All in all a good away kit.

Even if I cant\' stand the total white back

I think that the ABN AMRO style sponsor is useless..
why not symply written in the midlle of the shirt horizontally??

Great sock as usual with latest Umbro kits

nice to see the kits are finally coming out. i like the kit but i think that it is too plain and looks remarkably like a training kit.

would like to see the home kit as more or less a maroon version of irelands new kit. classiest kit ive seen so far. and it feels so good

That\'s so shoddy. It looks really 90\'s (in a bad way) and not unlike a pub team kit.

I think that for once Umbro deserve a small bit of praise here for a least trying something different. OK it\'s not the best kit ever and the distances between the badges and sponsor is not very well considered but at least they are not using a template like some!!

I\'d much rather see a bit of originality like this than the \'colour by numbers\' approach adopted by the big 3 in recent years.

It is a template!!! hasn\'t anyone seen Faddy model the new birmingham away kit....................Defo Ajax rip off. Same design as this one but with ajax colours.

I like this kit tho, im a dundee united supporter and wish we had umbro making our kits although Hummel kits are nice too.

its to plain, looks like a ajax training kit, if it had a bit more to it then it might look like a proper good kit.

couple things....its not black, its dark navy to represent scotland and hearts\' scotland heritage.

second, nike bought umbro, so technically it is a nike kit, just under the guise of umbro.

third, nice and simple, i would have liked to have seen it with white shorts and black socks

4/5

crap kit for a crap bottom six, debt-ridden club.

copying ajax\'s shirt design was enough but doing the same with the vertical sponsor is too far.

Who cares if it\'s the same style as Ajax? loads of clubs have the same style of shirts as others. If a team is wearing hoops do their fans complain they\'re copying Celtic? or if the shirts halved are they copying Blackburn Rovers? its a smart shirt, ok it\'s different, nd a bit out there, but the way Vlad\'s going he\'ll probably buy Umbro and sack the designers!
