Chelsea FC have unveiled their new 08-09 home football kit made by Adidas. Leaked pictures are around for months, but now it's official.
Chelsea have always worn blue shirts, although they initially adopted a lighter shade than the current version, and unlike today wore white shorts and dark blue socks. The lighter blue was taken from the racing colours of then club president, Earl Cadogan. The light blue shirts were short-lived, however, and replaced by a royal blue version.

BTW great kit!
Yeah seems to be Adidas\'s template this year, dont like the half sleeve stripes either.
but why the chelsea shirt is for 08/09 and the liverpool one for 08/10...?
yer the yellow lining at the end of the sleeves is bad. almost like a kid designed it -- thats y i pre the long sleeve version ...
yeah, that yellow thing looks terrible.
probably it\'s a group (maybe 2-3) people (who just got out of some \"designing degree\" in some \"institute\") sitting around a desk, looking at their image renders and pointing out and agreeing one another on their ideas, commenting how wonderful it is meanwhile the board didn\'t even see the final product, but approved it and when Chelsea got the news it\'s too late
sory bowt dat
i can see zola wearing this so it good
Kinda confused, collar looks camp.
(please ignore my English
1. lighter shade of blue looks so bad -- this is changing the whole club\'s identity. OK, with all my respect to the president\'s colours but they just chose that colour that\'s sleek looking? no way. royal blue looks so much classier.
2. collared shirt is so old school, why abandon the current one....
3. overall it looks so bland, so plain. the torso area is just a sea of blue.
4. I\'m a Chelsea fan but I must say Liverpool\'s new kit looks better than Chelsea\'s.
5. too shiny, too plasticky
6. Keepers\' shirts\' colour is disgusting. looks like an orange-gone-bad.
7. Adidas\' designers are officially undesignables now (well not all of them I suppose).
