It is the same design Umbro used for the Ireland home top. I hope Umbro does not start copying again with everything.

Oooohoohohoh..4/5 Finally, last Euro2008 shirt came out!
The only non-Nike-Puma-Adidas shirt... the Proud Umbro..
(even if nike property)

I like it,very simple and modern, and at same time elegant,
very good the colour choosen.

The template is not only the same as Ireland shirt, but also English away has it,with different trims near the neck.

Only things I don\'t like are the yellow trims on the sides and the blue triangle on the back..the same as the white one on England away shirt..really useless!

I quite like the new shirt, typifies the modern approach that Umbro have to kit design, particularly with the new 2008 range as there\'s more variety in the design in my opinion than say, the 2007 kits.

As for the colour, it is definitely a deep navy blue, not black as UEFA have got it on their Euro 2008 site. It isn\'t the first time Sweden have had a navy blue away kit either - their first away kit that Umbro made for them in 2003 was also navy, ableit a much lighter shade than this shirt.

Well, its more or less the same color on the Euro 2008 site and the pictures here. Just compare it in a image editor.

Cathal,

Not the same shirt used for Ireland at all, different shoulder panels, different front panels and different collar, are you blind dude ?

Umbro make the best shirts around anyway, always lots of interesting panels, materials etc, look how plain and boring nike are, puma are just garbage designs for mostly inferior african teams who they can sign on the cheap and adidas are decent enough but talk about over doing 3 stripes..........

JB,

What are you on about? Is that all the difference? Nothing much compared to other companies making half unique looking kits, Umbro just copy and tweak it every once and again. It looks close enough to be noticed to be like the Ireland kit. Aye obviously there might be a thing or two different but it is the same basic design so no I am not blind.

Cathal - I see you mention the Ireland kit. Would this be a man that went to the Poly of Central London?

I don\'t think the Umbro shirts are as nice as Puma, nike & Kappa....they make the best shirts, but this one is nice though.

That\'s what I\'m wondering too. Even Umbro\'s and the Svff\'s site don\'t list it yet. even though pictures in the press conference show the black jersey.

WOW!

great stuff, looks lovely. finally, after commenting on so many shirts that look so disgusting, this one is totally spot on! (hint: adidas\' designers are now officially infused by too much beer in Germany)

The colours worked perfectly - black being the majority, and with some yellow/blue highlights, and nice details. a major improvement from the previous kit.

Glad to see Umbro doing some good designing there.

oh ya, forgot to mention:

the 2 logos look a bit out of proportion/place. they should\'ve put the umbro logo on the shoulder instead of on the chest, and--

1) the team logo goes to the top centre on the shirt, while the player\'s number goes on the stomach area just below the badge.

or

2) the team logo stays there, and the player\'s number goes where the umbro logo was.
