Anyone know why the Turkish FA never got round to designing a proper badge? Nice shirt. I remember when Boro wore that kit in the seventies. Better than those diabolical Errea kits they wear today.
I watched Midnight Express again last night. is it still legal to stab people in the backside in Turkey?
The Turk Football Federation do have a badge but do not use it on the national shirts: www.tff.org it\'s the top left badge. in Turkey, the flag is a very symbolic thing.
The red shirt does look like something out of the 60s though, if the stripe was vertical and offcentre then it would be good I think.
censored midnight express that lying propaganda movie. probably made by kurdish terrorists. stabbing was never legal in turkey. still legal to attack souvereign contries in the US/UK ?
Turkey wore a kit with the chest band for much of the 90\'s. Shame that Nike didn\'t make the away kit a complete inverse of this (white with red chest band).
Still its better than the previous kit, not sure why Turkey had halved shirts, considering they had one of the worst results in their history in a halved shirt.
they just look terrible. the white plate on the home jersey looks awful. they should have kept a solid red.
The Away jersey is Turquoise (meaning color of turks in french) because they are trying to make a bridge to their past times of the ottoman empire. just looks awful, should have kept it all white. The Away Jersey also looks very Fem.
In regards the Middlesbrough kit similarities. They have always had that. I remember as a kid trying to find the Turkish Subbuteo team and opting for the Boro one \'cos it was identical. The White band across the middle used to have the national flag too which in my opinion looks better but I guess the number is now a standard. As for the away; maybe it\'s a progressive step. However some may argue that turqoise is actually a gem originally found in Persia (although it is in this day and age regarded as a Turkish colour). Maybe some red piping on the away would have satisfied some of the anti-turqoise brigade?
Anybody know where i can buy the shirt printed with Tuncay and his number. This is the design i would have liked for the Boro, i hate the new strip so gonna buy the Turkey strip instead.

I think the kits look great and the white stripe is a classic.....
Why some people feel the need to bring hate and politics into a football discussion I don\'t know....but there\'s really no need
Turkey shirts should carry a chest band. They\'ve had them on and off for years.
