This is a leaked picture of the New Portsmouth Home shirt for the 08/09 season made by Canterbury. Bigger picture here

Canterbury has certainly turned heads in the football world in gaining the sponsorship of a side in the premiership this season, not least because of its status as virtually unknown in the sport 12 months ago, but also for bringing what has been billed as the most cutting-edge and forward thinking kits. The 2008-2009 away kit has already been officially unveiled. You'll see it here and info on the new crest here

It\'s a good shirt but I don\'t like the golden panel on the bottom back.
Good the new crest

Maybe a wee bit too much gold,
But golly gosh, it is very nice.
So there we are, both Portsmouth and Southampton in bloody shirts kits this season!

that collar is copied from chelsea\'s adidas kit and I hate that spots on the edges.

shirt is nice enough, a little bit boring with just 2 colours throughout. would look better with white oki sponsor and canterbury logos. the badege isnt eyecatching enough, it gets lost in the dark blue.
3/5

I quite like it, don\'t think the sponsor logo needed to be in gold tho, maybe red with white outline would have worked better?

Being a KIWI, i think is a fantastic shirt.

I think CCC are starting to be a major player in Football....its all good!!

i really like this but i agree that 2 colours is probably not enough, a bit of white wouldn\'t go a miss. all in all a good effort, i am impressed with how well canterbury have adapted to football without them looking like modified rugby jerseys

It would look good without:

1. the canterbury logo on the arms
2. the 110 years crap
3. those 3 stupid lookin ciricles on the side...

the idea is right just too many small details ruin it..

An absolutely stunning shirt in my opinion. The rugby make have got them selves into football now aswel, and their great kits should be worn by other teams. PERFECT

Overall not too bad, probably too much gold yes and probably too much going on but Canterbury don\'t seem to like plain designs. I don\'t think the main Canterbury & OKI logos are gold though, i think it\'s just a dodgy picture. They seem to be a different colour to the rest of the gold so I reckon they\'re white. But no point moaning, we\'re all gonna buy it anyway!

Absolutely bloody vile

Too much gold - do not approve of proposal to switch to all blue kit next year. Our colours of red, white and blue are virtually unique in world club football and should stay that way.

I hope they change the design of the Goalkeepers kit...

Made David James look like a weedy kid in a rugby top.

Canterbury are great though! Go Wasps!

An alright top but much prefer the tradition of blue, white and red. Plus a fa cup winners 2008 badge on it or something to mark that achievement should be on there.

I reckon the styling\'s ok. A bit too much gold though. Would prefer traditional (and unique) blue/white/red or an all blue with no trim. Still, best shirt in years.

Josh, I have to admit. It looks great with the white lines. As much as I think it looks great with gold lines, white lines looks a lot more classy.

Yeah it looks miles better in white. I can see why Canterbury have done it in gold - probably for winning the FA cup - but there\'s too much on there, it looks a bit tacky.

Plus, the away kit\'s in blue/white, so a similarly coloured home kit would be ideal.

This is clearly 2008\'s \"marmite\" shirt. I disliked it originally but its grown on me. Loving the new logo but It could do with less \'CCC\' logos (the central one would do fine thanks) and I still don\'t like the circles they\'ve carried on from last year. Plus the sponsor should be in white. Still, I\'ll probably end up buying it hehe.
