Southend United released a new 08/09 third shirt. The return of the yellow colour follows an absence of eight years.

The colour, which still remains popular with Southend supporters, was being worn yesterday against Scunthorpe United and the shirt is available for fans to purchase online from today.

Southend United anticipates a high demand for the third strip, which went on sale from 9:30am this morning.

You can also customise your third shirt with Blue printing for £10 and Coca-Cola patches for £6.

It just makes sense to have yellow and blue, they are a seaside town with sand and sea so the yellow, especially in this photo looks really good with the blue.
Why the yellow was dumped in the first place is another matter.

Its utterly rank ! It looks like it should have been worn by a 1940\'s goalkeeper. Does it come with a free flat cap and hobnail boots. I find Nike stuff really bland and unimaginative.

I think you\'ll find that it\'s called simple and effective!

I know what you mean, but it is bordering on Nike not really giving a toss and fobbing off a pro club with a parks kit.

You can so clearly see this is just a Nike template - the Southend badge and the sponsor have just been superimposed - goes to show this is just a bog-standard Sunday League shirt that any club can put their badge on

I don\'t really understand your point here, but thanks anyway. I was just saying that this is the kind of shirt you see in the M&M catalogue under the heading \"13 shirts plus goalkeeper jersey - £150.\"

Have a look at the bottom picture. You can clearly see that the Insure And Go logo and the Southend badge have been dragged and dropped onto the picture. Just looks pretty shit, is all I\'m saying. No offence, like.

Here we go again...Another Nike 3rd kit, another bog-standard off-the-shelf Yellow Nike kit.
Again, like the Fulham shirt, there is not really anything wrong with it, it\'s just a bit \'yeah yeah seen it before\'.
