West Ham United revealed the new 08/09 home kit made by Umbro. Officially launched on Wednesday 30 July, the brand new Umbro strip is available exclusively via the club from the Lakeside Shopping Centre and Boleyn Ground stores.
To help fans young and old and of all sizes get their hands on the kit that will be worn by Alan Curbishley's men throughout the 2008/09 season, the two shops will open early at 8.30am on the launch day and also on Thursday 31 July.
The claret and blue kit which has been made using Umbro's new Trilogy fabric, a thermodynamic performance-enhancing material designed to control vapour, moisture and heat. The new kit has a unique contrast v neckline featuring a white mock collar, solid sky sleeves and tonal striped jacquard throughout the main body. The perfect complement to the already-released sky blue away kit released last month, the new home strip is expected to be equally popular for fans wanting to follow their favourites in style next season. The club shops and Megastore also have all the latest lines from the new Umbro training wear available - the very same athlete-inspired range that is being worn by Alan Curbishley's men during the pre-season tour of North America this summer.

its not even west ham ,the blue sleeves don\'t go all way up to the collar

Ok it looks good for internationals when you can place the players numbers under it. However club wise it just makes the whole thing look a bit odd.
Apart from those two things it\'s not a bad looking kit.
Looks the same as every other bloody single Umbro shirt this season.
Oh well, poor imitation of a claret and blue shirt for a poor imitation claret and blue team
UTV!
This way the logo still gets seen on TV, Umbro passes it off as \"asymmetrical\" design, and mugs pay £40 for it even though this is West Ham\'s second new home kit in as many seasons!
west ham, pussies?
maybe the club must find another brand to look fresh.
