It\'s the everton 86 shirt. Retro yes, successful, not as much as the 85 shirt, therefore not remembered as fondly. 1st impression is ok, if Birmingham finish 2nd and cup runners up they would be happy with that!

at least umbro are trying things (take note nike!) - its ok, a bit like a better version of what evertons SHOULD have been

as a villa fan im obliged to hate this shirt whether i genuinely like it or not, but that doesnt matter this shirt is WRONG!!

umbro up to this point had done quite a good job of birminghams kits but this just looks cheap and badly designed

As for the shirt, i think it looks good, umbro is doing a good job this year.
Collar doesnt look good tho.

It\'s like a cross between Southampton\'s home and Sweden\'s home kit.

this top uses the same template as the swansea 1 and as a swans fan i don\'t like the home kit at all but i think this one looks better but still crap. Umbro kits are not as nice as last season. what a disappointment :angry:

To be honest im not sure about it. its starting to grow on me though. the white panel across the chest is ver different. i though last seasons kit was good and that we should have had something similar. although i would have preferred an all blue kit instead. i think this kit would have looked better with blue shorts, also the collar is a nice addition. however think the white stripes down the side of the shirt dont look right.

I think the demand to come up with so called exciting new deigns is catching up with shirt manufacturers. I\'ve seen it with West Ham\'s new kit and now Birmingham. 2 seasons ago Birmingham had a great Umbro kit with clean design, good collar and, as a non Blues supporter, the vertical white stripe down the middle of the blue shirt which every football supporter associates with the club. Now this too clever by half concoction of a shirt that just looks messy and could represent any team playing in blue and white. What next ?

to be honest when i first saw the kit i hated it it but the more you look at it the nicer it looks and some shots of it look good and some bad, the kit does not suit mcfadden but put o\'conner in it and it looks good and those sad biased villa fans who choose to comment and say its ghastly are simply pathetic if you take the rivallry to the extreme of takin the mick out of our kit whats next our birmingham fridge magnets to be honest i like the new villa kit but i also like our kit however i do believe you will see many more people wearing this birmingham shirt when we do the double over you this season
