Design looks ok but how is that going to work when half the home shirt is already white ,not exactly a proper change is it. Cunning plan for the inevitable 3rd shirt which will suddenly go on sale when they play Wigan, Bolton, Spurs, West Brom etc. Should have just gone all red as it is a Lancashire ( red rose) club

It would look better if the crown paints and umbro logos were either blue or red, instead of black.

Oh. My. God. My blog entry was so prophetic. What are all these teams DOING?! If you wear white at home don\'t get a white change kit!

Its okay, its not like the current Rovers away shirt, which will become the third choice shirt in likelyhood is all blue, cannot see any kit clashing issues there.................

reminds me of the Birmingham city change shirt. Sure Umbro did not get confused over which color scheme to give the team? Perhaps Brum will run out in away games in a Halved red and black shirt

just another money makin scheme to rip off the fans........usual 3rd shirt rip-off routine...but then cant see blackburn making much as they hardly have any fans! the ones they gained in 1995 have man-ure tops on again!

It\'s a stupid choice of colour for the away shirt with the home shirt already featuring a lot of white on it, what were the Rovers board and Umbro thinking? A third kit is required but question is whether they\'ll have a new third kit, or as they\'ve done this season, use the previous season\'s away kit as third choice?

If they go for the latter, that\'ll make it even more awkward given the current away kit is navy, and whilst it might pose a visibility issue at Wigan next season (depending on if their new Shamdanel kit is UEFA anti-stripe style), if West Brom survive in the Prem it will be even more of a problem.

Funny someone mentioned Birmingham, I remember them having an away kit in white with red trim, and they wore that at Blackburn (in 05/06) and caused a terrible kit clash.

I dont know why thet use white when their kit is half white...They will end up using the third kit for most of the season I bet you that...
I think it\'s a very nice kit but it does not work out right and will have alot of clashes...

Looks sort of like a fake kit Blackburn (or \"Lancashire\") would have in Pro Evo.

Im 100% rovers fan and its f***ing awful! I was excited about Umbro providing our kits, the first efforts were very nice but christ I thought last seasons were bad till this mess turned up.

So far the prem league kits for next season are looking shocking all round, Bolton possibly take the biscuit for the dodgiest so far!

is it a coincedence that rovers have been recenlty lined up for a possible takeover bid from Red Bull n now we have a kit they could easily splash their logo on?

simple design, good kit, its growing on me
also, it will be fine against the likes of chelsea, everton and birmingham next season, will just av to swap to a third for the likes of spurs, bolton and wigan.

Awful shirt. Sponsor should be smaller and why have a white away shirt when you wear whit at home?

There\'s nothing wrong with the kit itself, it\'s the functionality of it which makes it a problem.

Blackburn have worn blue and white halves for almost their entire existence, so having a white away kit is just nonsensical, and from the other blog on FSC regarding 09/10 kit releases it looks like the current (and also quite unfunctional) navy kit will become next season\'s third kit. As some other guy mentioned it would have caused an issue if they\'d have to play at West Brom as they couldn\'t wear any of their 3 kits as they\'d all clash, but just as well the Baggies got relegated today. But still, an away kit is supposed to be functional and not clash with the home shirt.
