Botafogo 09/10 Home FILA kit

Botafogo presented the new home 09/10 kit, supplied by FILA. Their home uniform consists of a black and white striped shirt and black shorts.

The colours of the club, Black and white, are taken from Juventus FC, the team of Itamar Tavares, one of the club's founders.

Botafogo FC's symbol is the Lone Star, or the "Estrela D'alva", the first star to appear on the sky (not really a star , but the planet Venus).

This is an absolutely brilliant jersey. But is that a 1 or a 7 on the back?

Like it, but If i was in charge of Kit design for O Glorioso, I would have used Curswines kit he designed for them, the best made with the Kappa Template. Have to say though, the team name is brilliant (Botafogo means firestarter in Brazilian Portuguese)

Well done Fila & Botafogo! Very nice design. I like that it has a nice collar that blends in & is not some obtrusive hunk of material. This Fila template is much better the one we saw previously.

It\'s a very good shirt of my team of heart, Botafogo!!! The font of number really is bad, but the shirt is very good. The number is 7. Ther shorts is black and the socks are gray.

Agreed, Though not sure about having a navy shirt when both 1st and 2nd are mostly black. they do look very classy though, and I like the fact that O glorioso play in silver socks, sets them apart from other great teams who play in black and white - Santos, Partizan Beograd, Bestikas and the greatest of them all - my team, the mighty Newcastle United!

Actually, the club\'s official name is Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas, not Botafogo Football Club - which was used from it\'s foundation in 1904 until 1942, when the BFC and the Club de Regatas Botafogo (Botafogo Rowing Club, founded in 1894) became only one club, the Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas we know today.

Therefore, it\'s Botafogo FR, not FC.

B) Botafogo - A Estrela Solitaria ( The Lone Star)

Simple, nice and brilliant

Botafogo\'s player GARRINCHA

FIFA considers him the best Brazilian player ever after Pelé;[7] many eminent football historians in Brazil have also referred to him being at least the equal of Pelé.

He is also widely regarded as the best dribbler in football history.

From 1997 to 1999 years, Fila desinged ACF Fiorentina\'s shirts.
These were the the baddest kits on our history......

\"Botafogo FC\'s symbol is the Lone Star, or the \"Estrela D\'alva\", the first star to appear on the sky (not really a star , but the planet Venus). \"

This is a WRONG INFORMATION. The symbol is known as Estrela Solitária(lonely star). Botafogo, the club, is know as O Glorioso (The Glorious). It\'s the most important brazilian club of all times. There played Garrincha(considered by the especialists as the best football player of all time), Nilton Santos(officialy known by FIFA as the best defensive player of all time).

Botafogo is the club who gave brazilian team the biggest number of players in the history. Other legends like Didi, Zagallo, Jairzinho, Amarildo and many others.
