Bradford City have launched the kit made by Surridge Sport which they will be wearing for the 2009/2010 season.

Incorporating the logo of new sponsor MAP (UK) Ltd, the home kit is now predominantly claret with amber trim while the away kit returns to all black with claret and amber trim.

Both have embroidered black ribbons on the back, remembering the 56 supporters who perished in the 1985 Bradford Fire Disaster.

Replica home shirts will be on sale from Saturday 11 July, the same day in which the team will wear the kit for the first time as they take on Burnley at the Coral Windows Stadium in their opening pre-season fixture.

The black strip will be worn on Saturday 1 August at the home game with Carlisle United with replicas going on sale the same day.

About time we used our colours in a more visually appealing way, never did think the cilours went well as stripes.

Surridge have really impressed me in the last couple of seasons - their kits are simple without being boring. It would be great if more smaller clubs went with them, rather than cr@p like Vandanel.

Also the Home kit reminds me of a Motherwell away from a few years ago.

Losing the stripes on such a distincive kit as Bradford\'s is a crime in my opinion.

In and of itself,a nice enough kit.Having said that, the claret and amber stripes were one of the most distinctive kits in English football! I hope this is only a one season thing. Why mess with a Bradford City trademark?

They look good in pic 1 but not pic 2. Is it the shirt that is a peculiar shape or Stuart McCall and the other dude? Or maybe they\'re just the wrong size?

I know Bradford City did have an all claret kit in 1972, but it seems strange seeing them wearing a home kit these days which doesn\'t have claret and amber stripes.

A thing of magnificent beauty. Even makes the old chaps in the photo look younger. OK, not really.

Wow, the home kit is very good indeed. however, I would like to see more yellow on that shirt (guess I\'m another supporter of the traditional stripes). The away kit is not as good as the first one, but still pretty decent.

Both kits are nice, especially the black kit. The stripes down the right side look quite professional.

Very good kits with the sponsor\'s logo in gold really adding to the overall look although the \'models\' do seem to be wearing wrong sized shirts.

I agree that the claret / amber stripes is a Bradford trade mark but for a one off season the home shirt in particular is excllent. One of the best unveiled this pre-season.

I like the away kit, and Bradford\'s should always be black (they\'ll rarely clash, let\'s face it) - this year\'s is as smart as I\'ve seen. The home shirt looks like a warm-up kit, though. Don\'t like it. Stripes are the thing, I\'m afraid, and the Batmans have sold themselves short there. Daring, but I don\'t like it. The numbers will look better on it, mind.

Not only does this not look like a Bradford strip, I can barely tell the two apart from the photos. Bradford, with their colourscheme, should always have a light away kit.

I really like this kit, reminds me of roma kits a bit. As a grimsby fan I can understand that people might want to keep the stripes, but you have to admit those kits are a pretty good reason to try something different.

There are only so many things you can do with stripes to make one kit different to the previous one.So to change all together for a season or two to a plain strip makes sense and then go back to stripes for the next kit change.
But ,yes,Bradford do look better in their traditional stripes.
I quite like those two kits and the away kit is pukka.I agree with Claret and Amber, the new home strip does make City look like Motherwell.

Losing the famous (not traditional, but famous) claret and amber stripes is a disgrace.

I hope to god they\'ll be bringing back stripes next year.

I won\'t be buying it I\'m afraid.

As a young Bradford City fan, I am only used to the Claret & Amber stripes. From what I know this is distinctive for Bradford City. I like the kits but I would have preffered for stripes as usual.
