This is Charlton Athletic's brand new home shirt for the 2009/10 season - launched after the Addicks signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Kent Reliance Building Society.

The new red shirt, which will be worn for the first time by Charlton's players at Welling United on Wednesday night, is made of a lightweight breathable fabric.

It features the return of a collar for the first time in eight years, plus a white stripe down the left-hand side of the front of the jersey, reminiscent of the club's centenary kit in 2004/05.

The white shorts of the new home kit, which is again manufactured by Spanish firm Joma, have a peach finish sports fabric. The socks are white and red.

The new kit will be officially launched towards the end of July, with the launch of the away strip following before the start of the season.

Fans are not currently able to pre-order the strip, however, and more information regarding the official launch and how to purchase the kit will be publicised at a later date.

KRBS.com is emblazoned on the front of the jerseys under the terms of the sponsorship deal, which is one of the biggest agreements in League One, as well as comparing very favourably with the upper echelons of the Championship.

The agreement also includes a series of bonuses based on the club's success in league and cup competitions.

Shows what a downfall we have had, this kit is on the Joma teamwear sit, wheras all of our old kits were bespoke just for us. Hopefully the away will be better, word is it is based on our third kit in 2000, inter style blue and black stripes.

An unusually unfussy kit for Joma. But why is that stripe so far over to the left? It makes the whole thing seem lop sided.

the kit looks smart and simple, which I like, but the fact that you can see the silver mannequin through the shirt isn\'t encouraging

A vast improvement on last year\'s dreadful Carbrini-sponsored home shirt which looked as bad as the team played.

it never ceases to amaze me joma\'s seemingly endless talent in producing extremely cheap-looking, aesthetically-dreadful, overall ultra-crappy shirts. however, it must be said that even this turd is brighter than this season\'s Sevilla kits.

Most have panned this shirt, but I will say it looks good. Here\'s why: First, it has a collar, which makes any shirt look more professional. Second, the white strip down the right side looks regal and with the all-red body, resembles a throw-back type of vintage kit. Third, the \'throw-back\' look is even better with the white shorts. Sure, some additional colored piping could have been added on the sleeve cuffs or the body stripe itself, but instead it looks like a vintage kit. Usually I see Joma making kits that are wild-looking; this one instead looks traditional and vintage, which is nice for a change.

I think Joma have exhausted their creativity for Charlton shirts. First impression is cheap and tacky with a horrible collar.

I look forward to seeing it close up when they head west to play at Huish Park this season.

4.55pm on Friday evening in Joma\'s design offices, Joma designers all lounging about watching monkey porn, playing second life and eating crisps.

Design Team Leader: \"Has anyone done the Charlton kit yet, the deadline\'s today\"

Lead Designer: \"Oh, **** I\'ll get right on it now!

Takes plain red polo shirt made from recycled bin liners and adds a white stripe randomly on the left hand side.

4.56pm

Lead Designer: \"Badda bing, it\'s done boss!\"

best charlton shirt for many a year, an elegant classic design. old school collar and no pointless flashes and swirls.

ten out of ten, if only all kit makers would make shirts that cool I\'d be a very happy man indeed. I detest modern shirts, think only young kids like them.

That collar makes it look like a cheap knock-off. In all, it\'s a really poor effort.

It may be cheap and tacky but the design is simple and therefore not bad looking rather than some over complicated effort with swirls and different colours plastered all over it.
I\'ve seen worse kits, although if the white vertical stripe ran down where the badge is it would be better.

That kit, (hopefully) will put charlton\'s fans off of the game so they won\'t be concentrating , so then the mighty blues, (southend ) will beat them...

KRBS? This appears to be shorthand for the man who once led us to the top flight and ever since his departure we have been dropping like a stone. Maybe that\'s just me.

i really dont like the see through thing, that mannequin is clear to see through that shirt, if thats the case when you put it on, thats shocking.
design is okay, would have preffered the stripe to be where the badge is but oh well

i cant imagine if that thing is see through though, that you\'d get many XXXL\'s sold.

Thats forget the kit, we are still the biggest club in South London. We will still get bigger crowds than those Palace Scum ( Croydon bum boys) who suck Jordans orange censored. And Millwall your not even proper South London, get a map, Millwall docks is over the river. We are going to smash you, ha ha you did\'nt even take your full allocation to Leeds, embarrasing, like your defeat at Wembley again.
