Wow! It takes an exceptional design to make me actually WANT this year\'s Chelsea monstrosity. This is absolutely ridiculous. It wouldn\'t be that bad, except for the daft bit in the middle of the chest, and the seam across the middle.

The best we can hope for is that Liverpool get the same template, or worse. I couldn\'t handle two straight good Liverpool kits against the last two for Chelsea.

Look, I agree with all this (please see my blog on designfootball.com but that\'s down so check it at http://blogs.ebay.com/jfh29er/entry/U-S-A-U-S-A/_W0QQidZ889952017 ) but no one has actually seen this new template being worn. It may be that it looks fantastic.

And it\'s really, really early so I\'m not sure that Chelsea will wear this. You never know, this may be a deliberate leak to check opinion.

I am quite confident that this will be the end product that we see on the shelves this summer. It is always the way every year, pictures just like this are leaked and always end up being the final product.

No matter what someone claiming to be from the Adidas design team says (quite unprofessionally writing all in capital letters.)

Similar to the Red Bull New York shirt, same template used. It can not be worse than the 08-09 kit, absolutely horrible.

these cannot possibly be real. Europeans will lose it if their prestigious clubs start getting mls jersey recreations, and rightfuly so. also this is like a XXL on a hanger. if you go to www.worldsoccershop.com and view the red bulls jersey it looks awesome on a mannaquin. hopefully adidas gets the hint and starts following puma and nike, people want classic remakes and shirts that actually FIT.

Also do not forget the away kits tend to be the innovative kits the home kits are usually traditioonal.

Pretty sure this same template is going to turn up next season for the Toon and Liverpool. This in yellow or white (liverpool) and Blue or gold/green (Newcastle) would not look any better.

They deserve to be on the sleeves of the shirts more than they do on shorts and pants (trousers).
How plain and boring would the shirts be if they didn\'t have there trademark on the sleeve....

This is probably the real chelsea shirt. Just look at the New York Red Bulls shirt for the 2009 season. its the same and you find the templates for european clubs are the same as MLS Clubs e.g. Chelsea home shirt 2006-2007 and LA Away shirt.

to put it straight: your designs are gay. excuse the pun. it looks like some rugby shirt that came out of the 80s. help the stripes too. the stripes on the arms are omitted. it looks sh1t.

I\'d be interested to find out how many people still have a bad opinion of this shirt if they actually bought and wore it. I didnt like it when I first saw these pictures but then they dont do it justice. It\'s a brilliant kit, is really comfortable and looks good on. Maybe everyone should stop moaning until they\'ve actually had a chance to see the kits up close, because lets face it, its the same people moaning every year that the kit is awful, then its released they buy it, they love it and then moan at the next release that the new shirt isnt as good as the one they were moaning about 12 months earlier.

Seriously guys get a life, I\'m a true blue and will love any shirt thats released with that badge on.
