Club America unveiled the new 09/10 Kits made by Nike, and are perhaps the only team to always have their away jersey in a similar style as the home shirt, only in the reverse colours.

Available Here

The new shirts featuring a V in the front: blue on the home/yellow on the away. Plus, like most Nike teams, the shirts feature advanced Dri-FIT® fabric, which will keep you drier, cooler and lighter by drawing sweat from the body to the fabric’s surface, while its three-dimensional construction gives more air space around the skin to reduce clinging.

Very rugby league but i surpose anything with a \"V\" tends to resemble that. The kit looks clean and well made so not really anything to complain about.

Looks like a cycling shirt and as for lack of ideas they cant even be bothered to design something different for the away kit .

Love the sponsors though !

Not a very contrasting change strip, it\'s like Stoke\'s away top being white and red

Kind of a retro kit, similar to the kit the Eagles wore in the 80s, but this does not look as good. Here is the kit they took inspiration from.

The home and the away kits are too similar IMO (thats going to cause a problem if they play Penarol in the Copa Libertadores), but they are both quite nice

Nice looking but quite lazy when it comes to the away. I wouldn\'t have thought that these kits are different enough to be home and away. It could lead to colour clashes?

Amazing kit. So retro, so beautiful. Only thing that spoils it is the \"BIMBO\" sponsor, which obviously has its own connotations.

I must admit I don\'t know much about Club America. Are they any good?

They are the greatest and most famous Mexican club. The Manchester United of Mexico, if you like.

Yeah, they are so great that haven\'t made it to the knockout rounds in the past two years, even worse if they \"keep up that great work\" they won\'t be in the league for the next tornament.

And the most famous and popular team in México is Chivas Guadalajara (I\'m not a fan), and please there\'s no comparision, Mexico\'s football is crap and America is the cappiest club.

Both shirt designs are fine. Looks like an old Vancouver Canucks (NHL) ice hockey jersey from the 80\'s.
I have a couple of older Club America jerseys which I like. However, they do not have the BIMBO sponsor on them. The shirts are ruined with this sponsor. No way I\'d ever wear anything with BIMBO on it. Could you imagine BIMBO on a Man. U., Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spus, West Ham, Celti or Rangers Shirt? The fans would be up in arms over it. Get rid of BIMBO for Coca-Cola - then these shirts would be great.

This is really cool. It\'s a nice change for Club America, whose designs had been getting a little stale. I love the V and the alternate badges.

I called the Mexican league the \'Bimbo League\' because Chivas and Monterrey also have Bimbo as their sponsor.

Neither the greatest nor the most famous !!! (less championships and fans than Chivas)

But, I most admit your NIke kit is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than our Reebok thing......

argghhhhh... another one for this season\'s tacky top ten!!! what a no-class, aesthetically-dreadful turd!!
it will look as if the players are wearing a poncho. they somehow managed to ****-up a nice color combo and, as a masterstroke of irony, nike decided to give them exactly the same template for the away strip.

The shirts may look good and have that retro feel, but the away shirt is totally unfunctional.

No doubt a third shirt is needed for matches at Tigres and Monarcas, though this is Mexico, where rules on kit clashing are completely ignored by referees it seems.

It has a V because Club America wore a kit with a similar design for the most succesful decade of the team, the 80\'s http://clubamerica2.tripod.com/uniformes.html

how can you say chivas has more fans than america? last i checked america was the club that sells out the azteca every week not chivas.

and to j. garcia america is not the manchester united of mexico they havent won the primera in mexico since like 04. maybe the chelsea or liverpool of mexico.
cant be the greatest and not win your league....

The popularity of a team isn\'t equal to the seats they sell in their stadiums, it\'s the people that likes the club in the country, all of it, an beyond it, an so Chivas is the most Popular team in México (again, not a fan).

Totally disagree with the stupid comparision that a$$ made.

The Vancouver Canucks jersey went down as one of the worst jerseys in history. This brings me to a question:
To those whom approve: Have we focus too much with the details of consumerism and trends of football fashion that will redo a known blunder OR is it that Adidas has failed so miserably (for the most part) that we will approve of anything Nike puts out OR do you act think that this is a good jersey? (I ask not in a rude manner, but to understand why this kit is so heavily approved)
It could be a good (even great) format, but the black/yellow separated by red is just repeating history.

What is your problem? It is a beautiful shirt - sleek, stylish and retro. I don\'t give a damn whose logo is on it. Don\'t be so patronising.

I don\'t have a problem, I simply asked a legitimate question. because they are all legitimate possibilities. Ad hominem attacks make you look like an ignoramus. I said we, not you, because this is a community. The consumerism reports will be based on the overall community\'s response. Which brings me to why I said the question about the logo, most of us have a bias between the two main companies, the extent is variable. With Adidas failing hard recently, anything they put out is shunned. While Nike played it conservative and people loved it, therefore many people think anything Nike makes is gold.
I can agree that it is pretty sleek, however, the other two is up for debate. These colors on this format has been tested and failed. It is ridiculous to have two center sponsors. Also, it is not at all retro. When have we ever seen as a trend in football or any other sport (one jersey in 80\'s hockey is not a trend)? This is modern, if anything.

A better comparison for Club America and Chivas is the NBA (for any basketball fans).

Chivas is like the Celtics: Had one decade of overwhelming glory, followed by league titles every now and then, not the most popular but beloved by their followers, more titles than their rival.

America is like the Lakers: The more popular and more hated team. The wealthiest in the league, fewer titles than their rival but more titles in the last 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 years, had one very popular and very skilled player in their most recent history (Blanco-Magic Johnson).
