The newly-redesigned Colorado Rapids home and away replica shirts for the 09/10 season were unveiled here for the first time a while ago but now the club officially launched their new 09/10 kits.
The Rapids' authentic shirts feature a special 5280 on the back, and a US flag on the sleeve, some of the details that separate the authentic jerseys from the replica jerseys this year.
Authentic short sleeve and long sleeve shirts will be available while supplies last only! Also available for the presale will be Rapids replica jerseys, and the Rapids' third jerseys, whose design is the only one that remains the same as last season.
The new kits are not yet available in stores anywhere, but fans can pre-order their Rapids jerseys from our shop partner, and they will be delivered in the next few weeks.
The MLS club will also soon make available all the complete line of brand new Rapids gear and merchandise for 2009.

And by the way, before anyone asks. As far as I know, the 5280 represents the height above sea level that the city of Denver is.
Who else does this?
Yes we have a Canadian club in the league, but come on.
I see the gesture as xenophobic if anything
Real Madrid puts a Spanish flag in their chest and everyone thinks it\'s a beautiful great idea...
love the goalie shirt, and im happy that the rapids eliminated the baseball style \"rapids\" font across the chest. these may be the best shirts in the american league.
home shirt is very very beautiful.
this template would be very good in the Fluminense shirt...
COME ON YOU RED BULLS!
The GK shirt is great... early 90s influenced?
if so what a stupid art director.
They play in Commerce City. That is 5,166 feet
Who the censored are you?
And because I\'m also from New York:
Come on the Red Bulls! Screw Colorado, they\'re garbage!
Anyway, I like the flag idea...it just doesn\'t look right. Maybe it\'s because I\'m used to the backwards flag on military uniforms. It might also be the white trim.
Whilst it\'s nice to have individual clubs choose their own kit supplier, it only really works in established leagues. The MLS and the franchises get a better deal with this collective Adidas deal - they wouldn\'t operate it if they didn\'t.
Every penny counts to MLS teams.
I think the new Colorado kit looks great. Though blue and white stripes are much ***ier...
Up the Owls.
