That\'s a really old template. I\'m really not a fan of these sort of agreements,,,cheapens both the brand and the team wearing it!

Are you sure? The home shirt seems to be the same template as the recently leaked Barcelona shirt.

Its the same template as the Inter shirt from 2006-2007, and it was originally based on the shirts the team wore in the late fifties and was bespoke originally. thats why there is no central stripe on the shirt, just Blue on the left hand side of the collar, and on the other side of the collar its red. The template was then put into the teamwear range. for this one, theyve made the sleeves narrower

the thing that makes this template look really cheap is that while the shirt has no central stripe, the layout of the sleeve stripes are the same for the left and the right sleeves. that is what makes this template look cheap. they could have at least made the sleeves

this is the fulham change shirt for 2007-08 Look at the sleeve stripe layout

That has \"cheap, fake and nasty\" written all over it. When Nike teamwear make a kit - at least try to make it LOOK like a proper Nike kit, instead of that. A great shame I feel.

Well I don\'t know what to think about these shirts...the home one looks like the Wuppertal (German 3rd League) homeshirt of the season 07/08, and the white one is also a template Nike uses for 2 years... :s

I don\'t think it matters that they are old templates, they\'re quite nice kits

After the Fantastic 70s style shirt for Palace last season, this is a huge letdown. The Home uses the Inter Teamwear template (well it was that or a shirt worn by Stenua Bucaresti during 2006-2008 in the vote) and the white one is a dull as hell. Palace should have kept the white home kit from 2008-09, designated it the away for the 09-10 season and made an all new blue and white bespoke kit by errea.

I really like both kits. Even if they are quite old, what does it matter as long as they look nice?
Because Nike are such a big brand it helps shirt sales, there also quility materials used, I would know as I support Rochdale and I have the both the templates for the home and away we\'ve used this year and last year.

Thats poor . What a let down for Palace fans. Last seasons shirt was an all time classic and now they have to put up with this Dull template for Parks football teams. You might as well order a template shirt from any online retailer and stick the logo on it and flog loads on e buy for half the price. A really poor effort and very disappointing.

Who made the decision to get rid of the Errea shirts they were great. I can\'t believe we have to put up with a Sunday league kit .I hope its not the sign of things to come for us !!

Disappointing. Why doesn\'t ours look like the Barcelona shirt?

If it\'s all about templates, why do Nike have the crap ones? Do they reserve them for the \'lesser\' teams?

Both kits look very smart and are simple which is what football kits should be! Not with any fancy markings or shapes! This will probably sell very well at Selhurst Park this season which will give Palace some good revenue!

i dont know why everyone got beef with nike. im not a fan of stripes but nike did a good job. besides they got the kit BY VOTING FOR IT so blame it on the fans. i like it alot. and for everyone who keeps calling nike\'s templates \"boring\" then i bet u fancy that ugly oversized, crazy designs of the 90\'s than nike\'s designs. u just got to fit em into the players. thats what everyone said about portugal and after portual started to play with it everyone loved it. so SUCK IT. NIKE ROCKS! and for the record im British so dont say im american.

Do any of you like any kits??

I think this a great kit, much better than the monstrosity Man U kit.

This is nice and simple, how kits should be.

Well done to both the Fans and Nike.

Mwah mwah mwah mwah!

Templates templates templates templates!

Oh boo hoo hoo, so what, do you want to know where original designs lead to??

Bolton Wanderers new kit.

If Nike produced a shirt for Palace that was plain white with a picture of sick on it, it would look better than Bolton\'s.

At least this is a nice simple shirt.

Utter tripe!Dull as ditchwater. Why oh why?Obviously Palace fans are more keen on red and blue stripes as thier home kit but Errea\'s kit with the 70\'s red/blue sash was great but this...and as for the away kit.How boring is that, not even a touch of red to brighten it up!

Well, witha sponsor that looks like GAC or CAC(k) logistics, I\'m pleased they now stand on similar ground to Brighton, with our sponsor - which with distance and a squint can all too easily read (\'sh)its\'

Palace fans were very limited by the choice and these really were the best two! I actually like the home kit back to a simple striped design rather than raglan sleeves - although in saying that I preferred the sash from last season - I\'m sure it will be back at some point! The kit does remind me a little of the first red and blue kit we had in the 70\'s and the blue shorts reflect this - the shirt really doesn\'t look good with red shorts! Although white would have been acceptable. The combination of the two kits does allow for shorts/socks to be worn with either for away games.
I would also point out that this isn\'t the same template as Rochdale as the stripes are actually narrower - count them!
I\'m afraid beggars can\'t be choosers and if this is the best deal for the club in these economic times then so be it - we haven\'t got the clout of Barca, Arsenal, United or Villa to dictate what the design should be or ask for a \'bespoke\' kit. - and I\'d prefer something like this to those offered up by Joma or Canterbury, for Charlton and Pompey last seaon.

As a palace fan myself, i understand the fact they are templates, but in a financial difficulty like we are at the moment, nike is a great chance to get some money. They are rather dull but aslong as the palace crest is on it, its good.

I actually like them however simple they may be.

I dont like the kit voting that many teams do now! I think it limits teams to very simple templates and would much rather have a team of designers design a good quality kit for the specific clubs!

Believe me, a lot of Palace fans were disappointed in the way the kit choices for 2009-10 were presented. A few fans on the Palace message boards came up with their own designs which were far superior to anything we\'ve seen in a long time.

Unfortunately we\'re not a big club, so, as someone mentioned right at the beginning, beggars can\'t be choosers. I happen to quite like the Nike striped home kit, even if it is a template, and think it will sell well, but would have preferred Nike to have produced a \"sash\" kit to have been used away.

Maybe if/when we get back into the Premiership Nike will give us a bit more design time!

dissappointed that they are old template designs, but at least they dont look ugly. what is really annoying is that the other choices in the kit vote, although also template designs, were at least templates that are new to the coming season. at least then our kits would have been on par with some of the other new nike kits for \'small\' teams like us-but instead they just look like sunday leage kits, because weve seen them so many times before with som many other teams

As for the kits;
The home one looks like a sunday league version of Barca\'s and the away kit is totally un-inspired. But the big appeal is that they will bring in much needed money to the club. I don\'t care too much what the kits look like, as long as they have the badge stuck on them I will wear them with pride. They could be better, but not so bad that I wouldn\'t buy them.
