FC Atlas unveiled their new 09/10 kits made by Atletica

The Atlas Football Club was founded in a café of Guadalajara, Mexico, where a few friends recalled their football experience at university squads where they had spent the last few years.

Alfonso and Juan José "Lico" Cortina, Pedro "Perico" and Carlos Fernández del Valle, the three Orendain brothers and Federico Collignon (who had studied in Berlin) finally decided in the summer of 1916, to set up a football team called "Club de fútbol Atlas" and founded it in Tlaquepaque, outside the city of Guadalajara.

I quite like these kits, strong colours and bold designs, but can someone explain the Z?

Some have said its another sponsor and some suggested its a reference to the teams Mascot \"Zorros\" aka \"Foxes\".
Good looking kit.

The Nickname is \"Zorros\" Fox. And use this season the mark of Zorro, a american-mexican legend.

Nice kits.It\'s possible to make beautiful sponsorless kits (just a piece of advice for some other teams)

I also ask to anyone to explain the presence of the \"Z\".

thanks in advance

white kit in the middle is definetly the best one, the 2 on the left are ok, 1 on the right is not bad and 1 far right is crap

I really like all of these, particulalry the 3 in middle.
I assume that 11 and 29 are the home and away with 9 being the Copa Libatadores shirt with 1 and 16 being goalie shirts.

the Z is actually for \"the leyend lives\" and is for the fact that atlas is also known as \"Zorros\"... I guess they mixed the two thing, the nickname and the character of Zorro...

Atletica make a number of kits for Mexican teams and by and large they are all very good quality and these are no exception. Expect to see quite a lot of logos on the final shirts and shorts but to me these add to the \'exotic\' look.

I\'ve worn these shirts on holiday and invariably somebody offers to buy one off me. No dice !

Very good kits but the first photo of the guy in red/black hooped shirt looks like someone has asked him \"do you like the shirt?\" and he\'s responded \"Que?\" !!!

i LOVE MEXICAN CLUBS!
ACTUALLY ALL SOUTH AMERICAN CLUBS [:d]
THE RED/BLACK HORIZONTAL STRYPES REMINDS ME OF THE CLUB FROM MUY TOWN IN BRAZIL, ATLETICO MINEIRO... WHOSE KITS WERE DESIGNED BASED ON FLAMENGO AND SAO PAULO KITS HOME KITS AND AWAY KITS..

I REALLY WANT TO BUY SOME OF THESE MEXICAN AND SOUTH AMERICAN.
BUT ONLINE IS DANGEROUS AND I NEVER BOUGHT BEFORE..
IF SOME ONE COULD HELP ME TELLING SAFE, WEBSITES I CAN BUY OFFICIAL OR ORIGINAL JERSEYS.. LIKE ONE IN THE SPORTS SHOPS.. I WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL!

Any idea where you can buy these Atlas shirts? The websites mentioned above don\'t have any Mexican shirts, other than one which has only ones from a few seasons ago. I usually use subsidesports, but they don\'t have em either!

hey ike you can get some jerseys at worldsoccershop.com marcapersonal.com (in spanish) if your looking for the atlas jersey in particular i don\'t think it is available yet, the club is going to have a store online, i dont know when just that its coming soon. the web page is atlas.com.mx its in spanish though, then on top of the page it will say \"en linea\" click on that then where it says \"tienda virtual\". like i said, the online store is not finished yet but you can visit every so often until it is up and runnig.
