FC Utrecht unveiled the new 09/10 home and away kits made by Kappa. The Italian sport clothing company has signed a three year kit deal back in October .

Gregor van Dijk and Barry Maguire posed in the new kits which the players will wear during the upcoming 09/10 season.

Captain Gregor van Dijk is enthusiastic about the KAPPA-shirts: "I think the new shirts are very nice. It is good that the diagonal coloured style is still there. I think it is very recognizable."

A striking new feature on the shirts is the image of  The Dom Tower , the Cathedral Tower of Utrecht. The design fits into the “combat line" which makes the Kappa-shirts unique.

The away kit is in the colour blue in combination with black.

"The colour of the away shirt is very good," Van Dijk responded. "The shirts are very light and the material feels very good.”

There will also be an exclusive line with FC Utrecht-sportswear available for supporters. The expanded collection will be available in the fanshop in July 2009.

What\'s that thing in the background? That looks cheap. Otherwise pretty nice shirt (albeit a ten-year-old design). Nah, not liking the erection in the background. PHALLUS?

I don\'t like the shirt.

I really like these shirts.
I also like the church in the background.
Maybe next year we\'ll have the Colosseo on the AS Roma shirt like in 1998?

The lack of the big Kappa logos on the shoulders is so good.

Nope! too tight (don\'t like this style), lower quality than nike, adidas or puma. Just... nope, don\'t like it. Same design like in previous years.

yes, they should renew the shirt template, it\'s almost the same from 2003, but I don\'t agree with you about the quality. Other brands have low quality, like Joma, Asics, Le Coq Sportif, but Kappa doesn\'t

Why do u compare kappa with joma, asics and all that crap? Why u not doing it with nike? I tell u why: because nike is better than kappa.

Come on FDV, u said u don\'t like that big logos and now u admitted kappa\'s design is old and rusty. So... why do u like kappa?

I like the shirts material
I like the shirts fitting
I like the logo
I like the shirts\' simplicity
I like the tracksuits
What do you think about Sampdoria shirt?

I compared kappa with joma ad Asics because you did it in your profile.
I think you like nike only because is nike. Try to put joma logo on a nike shirt, you would find the design so poor and with no personality.
A kappa shirt would have the same personality even with another logo on.

Dear FDV, first of all I DO NOT compared nothing in my profile. U see, maybe I\'m not so
conservative like u, so we, the less conservative ones, like a thing called EVOLUTION.
So if u not had enough of same template for 6 years, congratulations... And u are telling
me nike has no personality... I guarentee u I would recognize an official nike kit.

No I definately not \"like nike only because is nike\". I used to like them for their designs
(\'02, \'04, \'05 templates were brilliant). Now I like them for their high quality and, of
course, because they make Arsenal\'s and Celtic\'s (my second fav team) shirts(and I really
like them especially Celtic\'s one).

Yep evolution.. infact Arsenal\'s home kit is a Nigeria wc 98 kit \'\'evolution\'\'..

anyway about your profile..

\'\' Worst shirts ever: Greece \'04
all joma, asics, kappa kits\'\'

I only think that you can\'t put together Kappa with joma and asics.

And I don\'t find Nike designs so better than other kit supplier\'s ones.
Their major ability is in signing deals with the best teams in Europe,
and this is only thanks to their money, not to their designs.

They are great in communication campaigns, they make a poor design seems epic,
and then thanks to \'\'less conservative ones\'\' like you we have to see only 3 or 4 brands in the major competions..

Damn, u wrote a poem!
OK dude, I\'m tired of this.

KAPPA = best in the world, their designs are the most inovative and perfect in the industry. How could I say such horrible things about the greatness of KAPPA.
It deserves to be the only kit supplier for UCL, WC, Euro...
The f*ckin\' nike are the worst kit manufacturer ever. It deserves to disappear in their shame. They did the worst kits in the history of some great clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal, Man Utd, Celtic, Aston Villa, Inter, Juventus, PSG, Valencia.

Happy now, FDV?

man we are just talking.
I\'ve just expressed my opinion, and you also did.
I enjoyed our discussion, if you didn\'t you could stop answer me earlier.
I know you\'ll never like Kappa, that\'s not a problem for me, I\'ve just told you why I like it.
And I don\'t want the UCL, Euros, WC to be played only by Kappa teams, but neither by only Nike,Adidas and Puma ones like it\'s going to happen again. That\'s all roger.

As Jay points out, the church spire looks obscene the way it\'s positioned.
The sponsor should deffo be changed, but PHALIC is my suggestion.

How many clubs have used the same colour scheme for the away kit in the past?
The answer is loads cos it\'s a good combo. This is kit design by numbers: nothing adventurous, nothing controversial, nothing to complain about, nothing to get excited about.

Stop squabbling children ! I like the design and style of the shirt and Kappa have done well to lose the giant sleeve logo. At least they put some effort into the design . Unlike NIke who along with Adidas and Puma are just bloody lazy

Those shirts are ugly as hell. I mean, that church in the middle is just idiocracy. I never liked Kappa anyway. Adidas and nike are just the best. I like the Adidas stripes.

Nice shirts, yes...the Dom Toren motif is a unique little touch. My only quibble is the stitching on the seams look kinda cheap...

I am from Utrecht. and support FC Utrecht.
The kappa shirt is better then the puma from last season.

The tower in the middle is the Dom Tower.
standing in the city from when they start building it in 1254 and finisht it in 1517 with al length of 112 meters high its the pride of Utrecht.

So that is why the tower is on the shirt.

the quality of the shirt is good. its elastic and it will not tare it appart when you pull on it..

The way Damsco not like it because he is a J*W from Ajakkes
our rival..

I think the shirt is the best design in the netherlands. in compare with other shirts..
