Hamilton Academical FC launched their new 09/10 home shirt and announce retail giant Reid Furniture as their new shirt sponsor. Club chairman Ronnie MacDonald said: “We are delighted to have such a significant business associated with Hamilton Accies.

“Reid Furniture shares our philosophy with regard to our youth development which is becoming a vital part of this club and local community, and their involvement in these difficult times financially shows the value they place on us as a vehicle for their product.

“The Accies have come a long way since the Third Division, players strikes and threatened liquidation to a stable position within our own modern stadium in Hamilton. The involvement of a prestigious brand such as Reid’s can only enhance our standing within the Business and Local communities. The money Reid Furniture invest will be wisely used by myself and my fellow directors and I look forward to a long association with them.”

Iain Stewart, Financial Director of Reid’s added “We are delighted to forge an even stronger relationship with Hamilton Accies in the knowledge that the cash from the sponsorship of the new shirt will be spent on the youth development programme within the local community”

The sponsorship, while remaining confidential, is the largest in the club’s history.
