Hertha Berlin 09/10 Third Nike Kit Vote

E-mail

hertha-berlin-09-10-third-nike-kit-vote.jpg

Hertha Berlin have asked their fans to choose the third jersey for the 2009/10 season through an internet vote. Specification of the German Football League (DFL) and UEFA are that the colour of the jersey is completely different from the home and away kit.

Above are the three options from Nike with the logo of the main sponsor, Deutsche Bahn.

The 09/10 3rd kit will not be for sale, as it’s likely that this will rarely, perhaps never be used in a match.

I thought they had a third kit already.... however, in this case, I don\'t know if it is that they are all together but these kits seem rather cheap and nasty; the whole thing looks like a set of chemical substances or something

They are all truly shocking 2 hard to vote would have said C cos A is so bad and B is weird cos it has only 1 white triangle and nothing else but the red sponsor makes C look even worse cos it clashes with the illuminous green

On a par with the horrible efforts Nike produced for Karlsruhe. All look like maternity dresses. And how about a little imagination to have the badge colours correlate with the shirt colour. Think Chelsea with their recent away / third team shirts.

I\'d choose D - don\'t use a third shirt. All three are good templates, but the colors used are absolutely hideous. If I were the club management I\'d take C and change the colors to make it look somewhat like the USA 08/10 home shirt with the light red and light blue stripes, to match the club\'s colors. Neon green = epic fail.

why is their 3rd kit going to be an off the shelf Nike teamwear kit when the home and away are custom designed kits by Nike?

Well if this is the best three, you can imagine how bad option D would be !!!!
Was the competition to find the most horrific shirt possible?

Yee Gods, It looks like they popped down to JJB sports and picked up the three team kits they had left.

Option B is exactly the same as Aberdeens home shirt last season, only difference being the badge and the sponsor. I\'d go for option A.

I think a better question would of been to ask the fans what kit manufacturer they want. Numerous people this season have said that they can buy one of these plain generic Nike tops and simply stich a badge on and it would cost a fraction of the price and in most cases look better without some crappy sponsor.

At least Umbro and Coq Le Sport have made an effort to tailor some of this season\'s shirt\'s back to a retro style which is synonymous with the club\'s image.

When are clubs going to realise that Nike have gone downhill and just put out the same generic crap time and time again. Granted smaller brands do produce some turd designs, but at least they make an effort.

A. Arsenal
B. Aberdeen home kit last season / Fulham away
C. Aberdeen home this season / Dundee Utd away this season

Poor efforts all round

They all look nasty and cheap. Why are all the kits looking so bad this year?
You\'d have to go for B as the better of 3 evils. (And A looks like the MK Dons kit)

Why on earth are they letting the fans vote for a kit which may never be used and wont be sold? Seems a very strange PR excersise.

This season MUST go down in history as the season when shirt manufacturers stuck 2 fingers up at everyone who supports football. They should let us design the kits cause half the ones I see on this site are better that the crap they dish out.

Give me a break - C? Here we go again with this damn magic marker, highlighter yellow colour. Enough already. Does Nike have a warehouse somewhere in Europe where it stores tons of this outdated yellow fabric? This colour is out, passe, useless, boring and a whole lot more negative words. A is OK, B is not bad (Looks like the Grenoble FC (France) third shirt from last season.
I\'ll vote for A.

I\'d go for B since it is the least hideous imho.
Poor efforts by Nike, they\'re being a bit like Puma on this one, they just took templates and slapped some logo\'s on them.

A (same style & colours) is the France beach soccer shirt, so no. B (same style & colours again) is Aberdeen\'s old home, so no again. But i have never seen a team with the same style and colours as C, so it has to be C. Defo.

I tell u what option D should be. U guy\'s know the new style for the Arsenal away and third kits? It should be that but the main colour black with blue and white pinstripes as blue and white are the traditional home kit coulors. But it could be black or red as the main colour. OR Option E... exactly the same style as the home kit. But everything that is blue ont the home kit is red, and everything that is white on the home kit is black instead! So if the were options D & E according to my D & E options, then who would you choose then, huh??
