Ireland Away Umbro 09/10 Football Kit

E-mail

ireland-09-10-umbro-football-kit.jpg

This is the new UMBRO IRELAND change kit that Giovanni Trapattoni’s men will wear for the first time in the crucial group 8 World Cup Qualifier against Italy in Bari on April 1st.

The kit as seen on Kevin Kilbane, Noel Hunt and Dean Kiely (in the goal-keepers kit) is white with a spaced bar shadow effect and a dark green pin stripe running as a hoop around the body, the shorts are dark green and the kit is finished off with white sox trimmed with dark green.

“We are delighted with the new kit” Jonathan Courtenay Director of football for Umbro Ireland said.

“The kit has lots of elements to it including the latest in moisture management fabric technologies, the look is fresh yet familiar and we are sure that the fans will love it as much as their heroes who wear it. It was one of the best reactions we have ever had to a kit when we showed it to the players, everyone loved the soft touch and light-weight feel of the shirt”.

The kit goes on sale world-wide on March 20th and fans can have their kit personalised with the official numbers and names at the brand new FAI UMBRO SUPPORTERS STORE on the ground floor of Carroll’s Gift Store on Westmorland Street in Dublin City Centre from 9am on the 20th.

The new FAI official supporters store will be the only shop in Ireland to carry the full range of Umbro FAI merchandise as well as all other Umbro team kits and clothing.

Funny that is!... actually its not that bad, there\'s just nothing special about it. Has this got the older Umbro logo on it because there not updating the home shirt?
Im hoping the new England shirt is unique just for us and has no similarities to any other countries tops. It probably will have something off this shirt but Im praying it will have a retro take on a past shirt rather than a nothing effort of heritage behind the design like this.

Forgot to add on the previous comment that i am liking the cut around the front of the shoulder and then over the should to the back of the neck but Im still hoping the England shirt is nothing like this!

Oh and i doubt they would release a new shirt from the same manufacturer as England that has any design resemblance to the new England shirt considering they have been trying so hard to keep it under wraps...it just seems stupid otherwise don\'t you think. IM DONE NOW!

the real/fake leaked England shirt uses the same pattern, maybe it was a concept or just a possible variation (with the old logo), but that seems to be the new template!

This uses the exact same template as the leaked England strip, maybe it will look better when it is on a player model instead of on a hanger?

Decent. I still hate the fact that eircom have to be on it.

Do any other countries have a sponsor on the international shirt? Such a shame!

This is indeed a nice kit...but that ****ing awful Eircom logo will be on it, as always...I haven\'t bought an Ireland top since 1990 because of a sponsors logo (Opel before Eircom)...Such a shame!

This design has nothing in common with the next England home shirt just to let you know so all is good with the world. Trust me the England shirt will be good...I\'ve said to much so i shall leave it there.

Not bad, but nothing particularly new either.

I think something went wrong with the diamonds on Kiely\'s shorts, which don\'t match his shirt. Looks just wrong!

OKAY SERIOUSLY STOP IT WITH THE ERICOM! You\'re not a rugby team, so your international kit shouldn\'t need a sponsor!

What dont you English understand? You complain when people mention different countries for you shirt news, so let Ireland enjoy it\'s moment on here without you nutters attacking and asking \"any news on the england shirt\", \"i hope its not navy\"!!

And actually we also invaded you, there are more Irish in england than english in Ireland!

I\'m not gonna lie, between the United States home and all of the Nike club training shirts/polo shirts the pinstripe hoops thing is a really nice look.

Still a pitty for the sponsor to be on the shirt, but at least it is only on the ones sold to fans, and not the actual players shirts, as that would make them look like rugby shirts (and be in violation of about 1500 FIFA regulations).

Nike should just ditch Umbro all together and release everything under their own name.

Definitely a Nike influence shing through on this kit.

Quite nice though

It\'s ok I suppose. Pretty boring but I like the diamonds on the sleeves and there\'s not the Umbro overkill that is on the current England shirt. Think the long sleeved\'ll look good on the players but the sponsor ruins it as a replica shirt.

I do hope the new England shirt doesn\'t look like this.

Let\'s be honest with this, yes nice shirt but very samey to one a few years back. Nothing new or \'original\'. And why oh why do Ireland\'s shirts always have a sponsor on their international shirts???

Just hope the England shirt is not another template like this shirt and an actual original, considering that Nike own Umbro, and also that it isn\'t the one that has been leaked.

Yes

Shame it all decends into racism.

It doesn\'t take long for some wit to invade every post with the usual \'**** shirt for a **** team\' gem.

Funny how the same people who like to dish it out are the same people to take offence the quickest.

Its a football shirt FFS! If you don\'t like it move on.
