Kilmarnock FC announced the launch of the new home kit for season 2009-10.
Once again, using the club's own brand '1869', the quality and design of the strip exceeds expectations and they are confident that the success of last year's strip will be surpassed.
The new strip, which was worn for the first time on Saturday 16th May in the match against Inverness CT, features the traditional blue and white stripe, but this time complemented by high visibility gold piping, panels and cuffs. The collar has further retro style gold features.
The '1869' branding has been updated to include the Saltire, highlighting Kilmarnock Football Club's proud heritage of being the oldest professional club in Scotland.
The club's main sponsor, Smallworld Cable, again features on the front and reverse of the strip with their distinctive logo.
David Durnford, chief executive of Smallworld Cable said:" As main sponsors everyone at Smallworld Cable is delighted with the look of the new Kilmarnock strip and its 140th anniversary theme. We are proud to support Kilmarnock FC and wish the club all the best for next season."
There will be a choice of white or blue shorts and socks.
The new replica tops, with prices frozen from last year, will be available to purchase from the Killie Shop and online before the match on Saturday.
Kilmarnock Chairman Michael Johnston said "We are again delighted with the quality of design and manufacture of the strip and the ongoing benefits of dealing direct with the factory. Killie fans can celebrate the club's 140th anniversary in style with this fantastic new strip."

This is a great idea. Shirts look stupid with a blank box.

I would play with her in any position she liked.
To be fair, the kit looks miles better in those pictures than in the promotional shots. Good effort for a self-made kit.
so clubs use their own
Shame this is only a club-based kit maker as their attitude and design put the big boys to shame. Kit looks good with both blue and white shorts and sox. Also love the ability to get replica with stripes - again forward thinking and customer service that the big boys wouldn\'t even consider!
Well done 1869 and Killie! :cheer:
I\'ve often wondered though,Kilmarnock are nicknamed Killie (fair enough) but why do they not have a secondary nickname like the Squirrels.
After all they have two red squirrels for a badge.
Hearts have Jamos and Jam Tarts...so I say up the Squirrels!!!
but their badge has a scotland badge ont
but who in scotland has herd of them
killie do have the secondry nickname of the squirrels thats why our rivals A*r United call themselves the \'squirrel hunters\' and not the \'killie hunters\' :cheer:
Well done Killie, like the gold piping and at least the strip is unique.
Nike etc, are all the same kits, but stick a club badge on it.
All the Nike goalie tops are the same, where as these are unique.
Well done Killie!!!
