Leicester City FC have unveiled the 2009/10 Joma away kit.

The shirt will be worn for the first time in a competitive match against Macclesfield Town in the Carling Cup 1st round on Wednesday August 12th and for the first away league game of the season against Ipswich Town.

Proudly sporting the LOROS logo on the front of the shirt, the kit is a replica of the first shirt worn by the club in 1884, and is a similar design to the away shirt worn during the club's last stint in the Premier League during the 2003/04 season. This shirt proved to be the most popular away shirt in the club's history.

City Head of Consumer Sales, Chris Tinbergen, said: "JOMA have produced another shirt, alongside the home kit, that is worthy of the club's 125th anniversary. This kit is sure to be popular with supporters as it pays considerable notice to our heritage."

He added: "The link with LOROS is something that we are very proud of as a club and the partnership will illustrate further how determined we are to work with our local communities."

LOROS Senior Fund Raiser Adrian Walker said: "I am absolutely delighted with the link-up with Leicester City. From our point of view, it gives us a higher profile which will obviously help in our fund raising and also raise awareness of all the things that LOROS do."

JOMA have worked with the club to help design this exclusive and unique kit. It includes the '125 YEARS' embroidery on the back of the neck and the back of the shorts. The embossed club badge will again appear on the reverse of the shirt and the same ticker tape design on the inside of the neck 'Celebrating 125 Years 1884-2009' as used on the new home shirt. The shirt will also feature the exclusive and unique 125 anniversary embroidered badge.

LOROS will also be selling the new City away kit from all of their 19 shops across Leicestershire and will benefit financially from every shirt sold through their outlets.

The kit will be available on general sale in the newly rebranded City Megastore from 9am on Saturday 18th July.

Thanks to Alex

Quite smart. The best thing about it is that the sponsor sits over the top of the sash, rather than it being broken up as would usually happen with a corporate sponsor.

I wish they would have moved the badge completely up out of the sash, but that\'s just nitpicking. Good shirt otherwise.

As a Forest fan I hate to say it...but that\'s a cracking shirt. But then again, if you put a nice dress on an ugly woman, it doesn\'t make her attractive....

\"It...will obviously help...raise awareness of all the things that LOROS do.\"

I like how that quote makes the article despite the fact there is no explanation of who LOROS are or indeed what they do.

Obviously mission not accomplished as far as the raising awareness goes then...

Dont really like the new shirt, why did they have to add a horrible blue line across the shirt if there was no blue line then the shirt would be nice thought it would be good to buy the new away sirt as my nan has worked at LOROS for about 20 years, but now i think i wont be getting a leicester HOME or AWAY shirt

I am very disapointed with JOMA didnt like JAKO either could be please get a decent shirt sponsor and a decent kit past kits have been discracefull!

Totally agree Brad, sick of these 2nd rate manufacturers. Looks like Joma are our sponsors this season. Was looking forward to buying the new kit, but spent my hard earned cash on a 1960\'s replica instead

wow, quite impressed with that tbh. does look a little crowded but considering their kits this season anything will be better than having the topps tiles man on there! all for a good cause as well, have to applaud the club for that, and incorporating some history in there. joma have done a good job for leicester i feel.

LOROS is a charity, Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering and hopefully lots of money will be raised for a good local cause, me being a city fan quite like it and tbh, anything is better than the horrible shirt we had last year, Topps Tiles will not be remembered as one of my favourites!
