Macclesfield Town have unveiled their new black away kit made by Adidas for the 2009/2010 season.

The new shirt, manufactured by sportswear giants adidas was worn by the Silkmen for the first time in the home friendly match against Middlesbrough, and is a part of an entire new range of clothing launched exclusively this morning on the club website.

Fans who want to get their hands on the new shirt can then purchase it at the official kit launch at the Cheshire Building Society's branch on Castle Street on Saturday 25th July.

The launch event starts at 9.30am and will give supporters the chance to meet and greet the Silkmen's players and staff who will be making appearances throughout the morning. And Roary will be on hand to hand out balloons as well as face painting for our younger supporters.

Commerical Manager Penny Baguley told us: "Once again adidas have developed a really excellent kit for the lads to wear for the next two seasons. It is of their usual high quality and we think the fans are going to love wearing it around town."

The shirt will cost £40.00 for adults with kids sizes selling for £35.00. Meanwhile shorts will cost £16.00 (£14.00 for junior sizes) and socks are £8.00 (£6.00).

Still not keen on the contrasting patch on the left sleeve. Would look much better if it was the same as the predominant colour.

those socks look out of place

notice how the shorts are the ones from the template of liverpools away. but i agree black socks would be better but it looks lot better on the field. also agree about ditching that contrasting shirt sleeve

I think more of you guys should realise that these shirts are for the field, not the pub. In fact, as a rule, the better they are for socialising in, the worse they are on the pitch.

They should lose the random colouring on the sleeeve. But another template design . Do Adidas have any designers working for them coz Nike don\'t!!

\'should have gone with black socks with the yellow trim. \'

They\'ve gone with yellow socks simply because adidas don\'t have a black pair that match that kit in their teamwear range.

and god forbid they\'d have some custom made

How predictable. Can anyone say that they were expecting anything different?
Not a terrible kit though

Classy looking even for that template. As others have said,if they ditched the contrasting sleeve then the over all look would be improved.
