Its a nice kit to be honest but a United shirt can never have sky blue in. trying to copy City are we. Horrible to even think about it. hate the design all together on home shirt too.

what are u on about united home shirts and 3rd kit was identicle this year only difference was the 3rd kit didnt hav stripe at the back and 2007.08 season
the black top was the same exept for a thin red line going across it

Still not happy about Michael Owen wearing it though.

that is unpleasant and wrong.

What\'s with teh light bue...it just should be a red \'V\'., black shorts with red trim that can be worn with the home...

With the third kit they can go nuts, hopefully a Newton Heath green and yellow effort...classicism

0 # Caulls 2009-07-04 02:14
I\'m hoping thats a darker blue for the \"V\", The same shade as last seasons 3rd would be perfect

And i\'m hoping for a yellow and green classic 3rd aswell :cheer:

Seems like a poor quality photo to me. If the supposed black is turning out as a darkish grey then the blue is probably darker than it looks in this photo.

White with a red chevron is used on the GK Home kit.

If anything this shirt is just this years GK Away shirt with the colours swapped around. Wether its real or not, we\'ll see...

Look, if you have an opinion about design, go for it. But everybody should stop complaining about the \"City\" Blue. NO EFFING WAY UNITED WOULD USE THAT COLOR RIGHT NOW! They haven\'t used it since 1908 in a one-off charity match.

I imagine it\'s more of a black + current 3rd kit blue, in which case I like it quite well.

Great site. Go to the United away section and read the footnote at the bottom. The City colored shirt was only used once. 29 April 1908.

It is like that keeper kit only that they have the opposite color, if someone can switch them then you have the new kit.

Ehh... it\'s all right. I\'m not so sure that the colours work together, but it\'s hard to tell from the photo. I\'m also not sold on the whole V motif that United have on their kits this season. But I\'ll reserve judgment until we see what they look like on the pitch. A kit can look like crap in a photo but look brilliant on the field.

How is Glazer is going to erased his debt if no one buys their current kits
Reply | Reply with quote | Quote

0 # 2009-07-04 14:43
but nobody is NOT going to buy this. in fact a lot of united fans will buy the teams shirts, even if they are s***.

I\'m definitely going to buy both home and away kits (even the second GK kit, if possible) .. and I don\'t think they are s***.

True, the kits could be better. But these aren\'t bad. At first I didn\'t like them much, but now that i\'ve seen it much, it\'s grown on me.

But you are right about Glazer being a moron, if that\'s what you think.

l don\'t think that will be the away kit. lf you look at the fabric used it is more like the fabric they use for the training shirts. That fabric is too thin to be used for a shirt. l think it\'ll just be a training shirt B)

I think this is fake.

1> United would not wear sky blue
2> United would not wear grey, considering Alex remembers the last grey kit and the Southampton incident..

White with a red V would help them have a 3rd shirt

What is the problem with the designers at Nike?

Black + Red = Menacing, threatening, etc

Black + Blue + Dull, Boring, Blehh, wouldn\'t frighten an old lady, etc

Also, the last black United away kit featured red highlights and was one of the most well recieved kits Nike have ever made for us. It was so popular you couldn\'t get hold of one by Christmas after it came out as they sold out and never got any more stock.

So why not use red on this kit rather than blue FFS?

(also, I\'m well aware of United\'s historic association with blue shirts, befpre anyone mentions that).

Jesus Christ!! It\'s not grey and light blue. It\'s black and the blue from this years 3rd kit. With that said, I don\'t like it. The V should have been red instead of blue. The black away kit with the red in it from two years ago is my favorite kit of all times. I\'m proud to own one. They should have followed that format.

The third kit should be white with a black V and the the black V should be outlined in either red or blue. That would be awesome.

whoever designed these new shirts knows nothing about MU. The only two times they wore a \' v \' was in 1909 FA cup (1909-2009...?) or 1922-1926. Both times, white with red \' v \'. This will go down in history with the \'90\'s blue adidas away, grey \'invisible\' and blue \'tiger\' away strips. Well done Nike!

Believe me, this guy is the real deal and he\'s just signed for Manchester United. B)

i think that the away jersey should be black. it was a disgrace that the black away jersey of 06/07 and 07/08 was replaced with that white piece of **** in the last season. but instead of that **** man city sky blue V i think it should be a red V. so pretty much just the colors of the home jersey swapped.

It\'s not sky blue at all, it only looks that way because of the lighting just like the black looks grey in the bigger picture because of the lighting......I think it\'s one of the best away kits in a long time and that the home kit is probably the best home kit since United won the Champs League in \'99. Definitely getting this kit when it comes out

well nike hasnt told them to take this pic down like they did with the home kit so my guess is that this isnt it.
hopefully they make it black and red that would make more sense.

It IS the away kit. White shirt with red V is the goalkeeper\'s kit.
