Well what about the deal with the watch company Hubolt? and all the leaked pics with Saudi Telecom
Reply | Reply with quote | Quote

0 # 2009-05-20 00:39
HUBOLT IS ONE OF MANY OFFICIAL SPONSORS OF UNITED, BUT NOT THE ACTUAL SPONSOR WHICH WILL BE REPLACING AIG ON THE FRONT OF THE NEW SHIRTS. THE NEW SPONSOR IS YET TO BE AGREED. AIG HAS HAD TO CUT SHORT IT\'S DEAL WITH UNITED AS THEY DON\'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR NEXT SEASON DUE TO THE ECONOMICAL DOWNTURN BEING EXPERINCED WORLDWIDE.

I THINK THAT THIS PICTURE IS A FAKE. A VERY WEALTHY GLOBAL BRAND SUCH AS NIKE WOULD NOT RELEASE A PICTURE LIKE THIS, THEY WILL AS ALWAYS HAVE A NO EXPENSE SPARED ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE THE SHIRTS, SO EXPECT TO SEE THEM MODELLED BY THE LIKES OF RONALDO VIDIC ROONEY V.D.S, INSTEAD OF A DODGY PICTURE TAKEN IN SOME RIP OFF FACTORY!!!

THE QUALITY OF THE SHIRT IN THE PIC LOOKS POOR,NOT UP TO NIKE STANDARDS AND DEFINATELY ISN\'T THE HIGH QUALITY DRI FIT MATERIAL WHICH NIKE WILL USE ON THEIR FOOTBALL SHIRTS.

You\'re basically looking at the 2006 World Cup shirt for Mexico.

I think NIke has just produced crap since 2004. Adidas had just slightly been better and I don\'t think that\'s saying much.

For me United\'s shirt should be Red with white trim. If this shirt is supposed to be a nod to the 1909 FA cup shirt (which was white with a red V) they should have made it the same. I think the chevron would look better being deeper from the shoulders.. and white.

The ringer collar makes it look like a t-shirt or a training top. I hope this is a training top and not the real deal. AIG have one more season apparently which is a shame because the company\'s name is **** in the States and AIG will likely end up changing their name.

This shirt is just disapointing

That shirt is certainly better than the one in the article, but it seems to me that the AIG logo is photoshoped onto the shirt, as it is perfectly straight but the material underneath is wrinkled, which seems pretty odd to me.

Also to clarify the sponsorship situation: AIG have stated that they will not renew the deal when it runs out at the end of next season, but there are rumours that they will pull out after this season, and that the company will be changing it\'s name to AIU.

This is a section of an article in the Daily Telegraph a few months back:

\"United are seeking a new sponsor to replace the £56.5 million four-year deal with AIG which expires at the end of the 2009-10 season.

The European champions are confident of securing a lucrative agreement by the autumn, with both Saudi Telecom and Indian financial services company Sahara linked with replacing AIG.

But with next season\'s United strip

I know for a fact this is fake, as AIG will not be sponsering them next season. The design itself is correct, only the diamond will be in white, and the away strip will be inverted, eg white background with red diamond, like Airdrie in Scotland. It is based on the strip Utd wore in 1902.

Even though I despise manu--I generally have been impressed with their kits. This year, for example, they looked (and played ) the best of any of the Big 4. They really should keep what they were using this season.

This template is garbage. It IS Mexico from 2006. I have to think it\'s just a training top. I do assume that AIG won\'t be on the next season. The US govt, if they haven\'t already, will terminate the sponsorship (regardless if the money\'s been paid to the club).

yet i still believe AIG won\'t be sponsoring man utd next season as they are pulling out of the deal.

The shirt is the real one. The Sponsor next season is a different one, but once you´ve got a contract you need to have it on your shirt till the season ends!

So if you are introducing a new shirt, you will have to have the old sponsor on the new shirt. And at the turning point to the ne season you put on the new sponsor.

This happended a few times, why have you all forgotten. Contract is contract.

First off our sponsor for next season is AIG, and at the end of next season the AIG shirt sponsorship contract runs out, and even after that Saudi Telecom is not and will not be our sponsor, out next shirt sponsor is Airtel.

AIG will be replaced as they dont have the money to pay for the sponsorship for next season. The global credit crunch affected them badly and AIG is now being run by the american government. The new shirt sponsor has not been agreed yet, negotiations are ongoing.

The Airtel deal is a partnership, whi ch will see the united brand grow in sri lanka, the seychelles and in india, in return they will get to visit mufc soccer schools and help with travel for away european matches.

it says so in the article that you have told people to check out!!

LOL, the bitterness among the Scouse filth extends even to the shirt for next year? Yeah, keep trying to convince yourselves that the shirt is crap or whatever... United just matched your untouchable 18 and now all you have left is your European Cups... Your jealousy extends to all ends, like your garbage manager, your garbage promises, and your USELESS clubs lack of balls.... Until the day you can actually keep up, then talk. Until then, don\'t let the door hit your ASS on your way out.

And for all you ignorants, it\'s MAN UNITED, Not Man U. Learn it.

Ahhhhhh, I feel better now!

Some of you are clearly retarded. First of all it\'s pretty clear Nike are sending out a tonne of in-house fakes to stop the real one getting copied and sold eerywhere....they did it last year as well.

Secondly, our sponsor is still going to be AIG, it will be the 2010/2011 season when we get a new shirt sponsor.

Thirdly, the retards who think Hublot will be our shirt sponsor....seriously? You must be slightly special.

If anything our shirt will kind of look like this, but the V will be white.

United\'s deal with AIG isn\'t up until next summer. Until then they do have to wear AIG. So it is possible that this is the new kit.

how many goons are commenting on this shirt, this shirt may be a fake but they ARE still being sponsored by AIG next season AIG paid their shirt sponsorship upfront up until the end on the 09-10 season so why would they pull out early and short change themselves, their is no new signed deal yet with any other company thus far. The deal with hublot is different they are the official timekeeper supplier of Man united. A bit gay i know but its like Wrigleys being the official chewing gum of the premier league, money talks today though so fair play.
Anyway nice shirt i suppose it is a bit like the mexico design, the pic posted on the link does look better but the neckline and sleevelines are from an old nike template so dunno if they would use it.

waaaayy too lik the azteca mexico jersey
i lik the idea of giving a nod to past championships with the whole chevron thng goin on but mabe a chevron on the sleeve below the prem league patches woud be more subtle and not an eyesore like this is
it should prolly also be white not black its not as clashing

The fact that pics of Celtic\'s away kit (posted after this) were removed after Nike asked them to and that this pic remains on the site proves that this is a fake. Looks more like a training top anyway.

think again nike, and all the other brands

yep this is the real deal

Both the celtic away shirt with the tartan short and arsenals away shirt had the same style publicity mockup done by nike

i have seen 2 \'leaked versions of this shirt both very similar with the back V, one with a black collar and the other with a white collar and white on the end of the sleeves. but the picture is too small to identify which is the correct collar??? can any one make it out???

Also does anyone know where i can see an image of the new nike premiership ball for 09/10 season used in this image?

0 # Tim 2009-05-22 11:18
It\'s obviously the black collar (unfortunately) . Looks like Nike spent all of five minutes designing this.

Shame, as with a decent collar, it could have been a great shirt.

0 # Eric 2009-06-11 21:57
True. Seems the round collar is a \"motif\" Nike are going for on most of their kits for this season. Reminds me of their kits from around 2000. Very basic and uninspired.

You lot make me sick! We will be sposored by Airtel ... OFFICIALLY.

This wont be the exact shirt but the pre-releases say it\'ll be similar. I\'m backing a white \'V\' which has been said by a few. If that is the case, i think it will look fantastic, rip off of Mexico\'s or not, that was also a great shirt.

P.S. How nice are all 3 of Chelsea\'s shirts for next season, it pains me to say this! But they\'re great.

Double slice, Double nice... PEACE!

The V has a red tinge which makes it look like someone has done it with a permanent/fabric marker. That would be supported by the fact it looks exactly the same as the last one...

Well, I´m a shirt collector to be honest, and I bought a perfect replica here: http://www.onestopshirts.com/index.php/Manchester-United/NEW-Manchester-United-Home-Shirt-09-10/flypage.tpl.html , yes with the AIG logo , cause they ARE GOING to be with that company for one more year, and after that they will start using the one with the Saudi Telecom.

By the way, I have seen the \"new\" Barcelona kit in some blog (don´t really remember which one)... and let me say that is a fake kit, I have a friend working for the club, and he told me that is a pure fake.

Ok, thank you.

So READ this news topic, and READ it until your damn heads bleed.
