Morecambe launched their new home and away strip for next season at the club's annual gala draw on Saturday night.

As modelled here by Neil Wainwright and two young, local fans, the strips feature a special addition to the badge with two stars included on the sbirt to mark the Shrimps' two wins at Wembley.

The kit is once again produced and supplied by Genesis Group International Ltd who are PUMA's Licensee for PRO Team sports for the UK & Ireland and the launch of The Shrimps PUMA 09/10 Home and Away Kit sees the beginning of Genesis and Morecambe FC's second season together.

Julie Orange, Marketing Manager, Genesis said: "The away kit stems from the classic PUMA King concept and it's asymmetrical design features and sharp angular lines, gives the kit an up to the minute look and feel.

The home kit offers a streamlined look and feel with curved side panels for added dynamicity. The Shrimps' 09/10 kit will work to give players two very different shirts that will look great on the players and will unite supporters in the stands."

The end of last year saw the launch of 'The Kit Team' business, a commitment by PUMA and Genesis, to give grassroots Football in the UK and Ireland 'Your Kit, Your Way'. Fans that play Football themselves can now play in the same PUMA brand The Shrimps play in.

Like the away kit, not so sure about the Home though. The template used by bristol city may have worked better

You\'d think being sponsered by Bench, that they would design the kit!

I think the shirts are too large for the guy who wear them to be judged.
Anyway they seems avarage kits.

I like the Christie Park patch

Hullo FDV,

Are you Italian? I ask because I am and was just thinking the same thing, and that was a very italian thought.

the substitutes will look funny with that sponsor! As for the kit, could have been better, but if I supported Morecambe, I wouldn\'t be complaining

Nice little details present. Both look average otherwise.

Stars for two Wembley wins???
What\'s next? Stars for goals scored in the last ten minutes of a cup match played on a thursday???

All these teams putting stars on their shirts cheapens the stars on the shirts of clubs who have actually won things!

They were pretty big matches for Morecambe and both special days for Morecambe fans. As the kit is for them and not for you I don\'t suppose they mind the inclusion of the stars.

As usual the morecambe strip(s) show absolutely NO imagination. The most recent strip that did was the red/white stripes, black shorts,red/white hooped socks from the mid 90\'s.The home shirt is ARSEnal, rotherham, bristol city.Away strip is gillingham, peterborough and possibly stranraer!.YUK!!! A strip that was unique to the shrimps would of been much more personal and closer to the fans.River Plate\'s strip would of been great but they are with addidas.Swap the red and white around maybe,a bit like the strip from Dave Roberts\'s era in the 70\'s.You could of even gone Boca juniors,Red shirt, white broad hoop, red shorts, white socks with red top.Hamburg have great strips.White shirt, red pin-stripes,red shorts, and a bit different like HSV socks, yellow socks to represent our win at wembley in 1974 i.e. all red with yellow trim. The away strip should be all yellow, all white or yellow and blue(poss Boca\'s home strip)like the colours in the club crest.Moving out of Christie park is a BAD,BAD move!!! It will be yet another \'lego\' stadium like MK Dons,swansea,cardiff,oxford,chester,m\'boro,stoke etc etc.Bloody awful and completely souless.You\'ll put the prices right up and there will be NO atmosphere.Food and drink will be un-affordable and you\'ll never fill it.Morecambe is not a \'soccer\' town and NEVER has been.Regards to Rod Taylor from Joe and Mary. \"A-Morecambe\".
