UPDATE 23-3-2009: Real Leaked England shirt here

This seems to be the new England Home shirt for the 09/11 seasons made by Umbro.

The new England kit will be officially launched on April 1st, but there is a good chance that this will be it.

Thanks to Ben!

The one star is a pomposity England copied from France.
Brazil, then Italy and Germany all celebrated their winning three World Cups by emblazoning three stars on their shirts. It was a symbol of a great footballing achievement.
Then, France won in \'98 and decided they should have a star too, but just the one. After that, everyone followed suit.
As it stands, England\'s star is nothing but a reminder of failures ever since 1966.

The shirt looks like training kit. Get rid of the red sleeves and it would be OK.
Personally, I\'d like to see them doing away with the blues shorts in favour of white.

Everyone has got some sort of stars on their shirts nowadays, UEFA cup, third division titles, any old rubbish.

And the shirt looks like a 6 year old has drawn it.

Modern football is rubbish, not like it used to be.... yada, yada....
Guest

Guest

It wasn\'t the French that started using stars to signify the number of times they have won the World Cup, but infact Brazil.

\"Brazil added three stars above their crest after winning their third World Cup in 1970. Italy did likewise in 1982. All world champions have since followed suit. Uruguay display four stars, regarding their triumphs in the 1924 and 1928 Olympics as equivalent to their later World Cup wins, as there was no World Cup at the time.\" - Wikipedia

Just because it's on wikipedia, doesn't make it so.
I'm talking about one star. As I said to begin with, it started with Brazil in 1970.
Uruguay may well have done it with their four stars, but no one showed off just the one win until France did.

Here is a picture from Italy v West Germany in the 1982 World Cup Final. Can you see either badge including two stars? No, because it was something a country did when they had won THREE World Championships. http://www.fifa.com/mm/photo/classic/matches/1982_ita_ger_02_2047_sq_large.jpg

Here's Beckenbauer lifting Germany's second. www.fifa.com/mm/photo/classic/matches/1982_ita_ger_02_2047_sq_large.jpg see a star? No. Because it wasn't the done thing until you'd won three.
Germany, again, with no stars on their shirts.
Here is a picture from this very site, of England\'s \'82 World Cup Shirt. [img size=200]http://a545.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/72/l_ca63c36ca2681c10a091a390ba2cc670.jpg Yup, you guessed it. No bloody star.
In fact, here are the England World Cup shirts up to 1998:

www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/images/England-90-Home.jpg
www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/images/England-98-home.jpg

and here is the 2002 shirt:
www.uksoccershop.com/images/england_home_200507.jpg
anyone spot anything? Yeah, only the last one has a star.

And just to show it\'s not just England, here\'s Argentina in 1998:

and 2002:

I rest my case.
Not that I\'m obsessive...
(Though maybe it was a FIFA directive and not the poncey French, I know not).
Guest

Guest

Chuck\'s mum,

Wouldn\'t want to have a retard like your feeble-minded self liking what I wrote, would I? It is how it is. It is a poncy affectation the French started. I\'m not backing down on that.

Why don\'t you head off out now, drink some effeminate alcohol and throw some bricks at your local paediatrician. Those Oxford University entrance exams won\'t pass themselves.

Loving that Burberry you got off the market, by the way.
Guest

As i recall the single star was introduced to the England shirt after a campaign by fans to have the achievement of 1966 recognised.

I don\'t see why we shouldn\'t recognise that achievement just because we haven\'t won it since. I certainly don\'t see it as a reminder of failure.

Judging from your comments it clearly strikes a nerve with you, perhaps you should start a campaign to force Manchester City to have the three stars from their crest as they are there purely for aesthetic reasons.

Alternatively you could lighten up.

Hello
very interesting to read all the comments! I was slightly horrified to see the above pic (grey?) and hope I
right in saying that this ISN\'T the new intended England kit. This may be a training top, or even just a
complete hoax, some moody top made in a sweatshop...

Here is a link where Umbro give us a taster of the new badge.

http://www.offthepost.info/2009/03/new-england-kit-teasers/

this badge isn\'t featured on this shirt and as this is the main feature of the new England shirt, I
believe the above is NOT the new shirt...let\'s hope not anyway! The new shirt will have an old style
collar as well, I hear!
Guest

Guest

What a bunch of moaning, miserable old buggers you are. All i ever hear is moan moan moan on anything and everything. It\'s a kit for God sake, not a world catastrophe. Anyone want to be positive out there???

I think its different!!!!! I actually like it much better than the previous England tops

needs some blue bit too much red

Englands euro96 top was the best !!!

umbro sign should be on the over side as well

but overall much better 7/10!!!! :P
Guest

Guest

We will probably get used to it over time...possibly to much red like you say but why does it need blue...the english flag is red and white...no blue.

England is not the United Kingdom as the blue makes us by looking like the Union Flag
FDV

FDV

Can\'t believe this is not a fake.
The st.George\'s cross shield on the back of the collar makes the shirt seems so cheap..
and what about the grey in the collar?
and the red Umbro logo?
and the logo positioning?
and the red badge outliner?
and the sleeves?

horrible horrible
Baz

Baz

I feel sorry for England fans who buy the kits...this looks cheap...way too much red... I certainly have no problem with aknowledging th 66 World Cup win with a star, but don\'t replace it on the front with the Umbro logo...The bottom left graphic looks like a 2D barcode...scan this and it says £50?...Everything about this shirt is wrong, wrong, wrong...Mexico 86 and Euro 2000 were far superior.
Guest

Guest

Is this a joke?! Why have they taken out the star above the England shield? Why is there a stupid red outline around the England shield? Why is the Umbro logo above the England shield? Why is light blue in the stripes on the collar? Why place a St. George\'s cross on a shield on the back? What is that pixelated crap all about?
Umbro\'s owner, Nike, should design the shirt, because Umbro don\'t have a clue.
This shirt is terrible and not even worth £5! If this shirt is real then I suggest all England fans should refuse to buy this crap!
Guest

Guest

Quote:
i wouldnt laugh, ireland... you have umbro as well, yours could look very much like this but in green.

i dont think its too bad, but england needs to get it over with and switch to nike already.
Aye, but the Ireland top still looks better. But I\'m sick of Umbro to be honest. We should go back with O\'neills!
Guest

Guest

When they recently changed Denmark\'s crest the fans campaigned and petitioned and eventually it was changed back...

If this is seriously what Umbro has produced for England then I suggest we all do the same!
Guest

Guest

First of all - didn\'t I tell you all there would be leaks? I think you\'ll find I did. ;-)

Second of all, what in the holy hell have Umbro been smoking? There\'s just so much wrong with this I can\'t even decide where to begin, but the sleeves seem like a good place to begin because they absolutely blow. Using a splash of red sparingly is what makes an England home kit (the last 2 have both been very good examples of this), but this one has far too much. (also while it might seem like a nice clever design touch to sublimate the crest onto the sleeve, that\'s precisely where the World Cup logo will go, so the effect\'s going to be lost).

And grey? Answers on a postcard please. Or is it \"indigo blue\" like back in 1996?

When the Chelsea kit got leaked this week, my first impression was the same as a lot of other peoples - looks more like a cycling jersey. This, on the other hand, if not for the England crest then you wouldn\'t know what sport it related to...
Guest

Guest

It isn\'t to bad, certainly better than the one we\'ve got now.
I like the little touches of grey but there is far to much red on this top.
I personally think our shirts look better with more blue than red but they have slowly been working there way to more and more red over the years on each shirt so its not like i didn\'t see it coming.
The red trim around the badge is not needed in my view either because of the fact the Umbro logo is above the badge so it makes it look cluttered. I don\'t mind the logo above the badge because it makes way for having the number on the chest, which it is why its probably there in the first place anyway.
So basically i hope this isn\'t the final design and they take off the red trim around the badge and reduce the amount of red and put more blue on there.
FINGERS CROSSED!
Guest

Guest

This is the worst ever England home shirt. Horrid.

If this is real, I won\'t buy it for my children.

For too much red.

Complete and utter failure by the designers.

It probably will have white shorts as red and blue don\'t go together. Blue shorts are best though,
Guest

Guest

i sure hope someone from umbro is reading through all the comments. if this is the new england kit, the peeps back at umbro needs to get a slap inside their heads!!! god awful!!! come on you bastards!..........you guys can do better than this!!! garbage!!! just garbage!!!
Guest

Guest

Nice to see that a new England shirt prompts fresh and exciting new racism.

The more I look at it the better it looks, but the initial shock of those ridiculous sleeves fills me with disappointment. Deep down I feel it\'s not a football shirt, it\'s a training shirt.

I hate the Umbro badge above England badge, both on the same side. The red outline of the badge is just wrong. The use of grey makes it look fresh and modern, but too much like a training kit.

The collar, apart from use of grey, is ok. Reminds me of Sir Alf\'s jacket in 66.

The star on the shoulder and the shield on the nape are vile notions.

The infrared thingy - like the morse code on the current home shirt - clever, but why?

By simply moving the Umbro Double diamond across and eliminating the red on the sleeves, this shirt would be drastically improved.

April 1st would be a good day to release this joke.
As training shirts go, it\'s okay.
Guest

Guest

\"By simply moving the Umbro Double diamond across and eliminating the red on the sleeves, this shirt would be drastically improved.\"

Just tried it clumsily in MS Paint, and it looks a lot better!
The red Umbro logo would warrant the red border round the England badge.
Without it, the Umbro logo would have to be blue.
Guest

Guest

Horrendous! I\'ve wanted to buy an England shirt for a while but the last one was poor and this one is dreadful, appallled by Umbro - if this is the best they can do then they don\'t deserve to make England\'s shirts. Bring on Nike!
Guest

Guest

Jimbo - \"Fresh and exciting new racism\"

A richly ironic phrase to use from someone from one of the most singularly obnoxious and indeed racist little countries on the planet. Do you wonder why the English (and not the Scots, Welsh or Irish) are hated anywhere they go?

Oh, and the new shirts awful.
Guest

Guest

To be honest its a brave bold design to go for, i think its mass improvement on current shite that feels like rag cloth stitched to tights.

Long sleeve will be interesting, I wonder what colour the numbers will be? surely not red and the shorts must be white?

only thing bothers me is grey/silver is was a bad omen for england
Guest

Guest

Yeah, i mean things have to change sometimes and adidas have made a bold change with the new york/chelsea \'\'cycling\'\' kit.

I wonder what nikes designs for the next 2 years look like.

I think everyone is a little shocked by the mass red sleeves but i think its a new change and better that than the same old crap, the last home shirt was awful like a used tampon with that red line on it.

only thing i dont like is the stupid code thing and star on sleeve as someone stated the WC badge goes there.
Guest

Guest

has to be a wind up, worst England kit ever, all you need is a nike swoosh and you have a cheap and nasty pub kit, 15 shirts, shorts and socks for £250.

Fed up with team In-ger-lund led by a load of £100k a week scumbag chavs run by an corrupt and inept FA. Time to support Scotland i think!
Guest

Guest

not sure why Nike is praised here all the time..Umbro did a fine job, ask the bored fans of Nike teams, similar template almost all the time, cheap+bad numbering (especially Holland)and the material is tight cut and not good for a fan because these shirts are super sensitive compared to the Umbro ones. Think Umbro did a good job so far for England and just looks right. Denmark should have Hummel again, Germany always Adidas and England simply is Umbro guys.so come on! This shirt though...not sure about this training shirt (hopefully) guess numbering or shorts or both are blue, otherwise the blue is completely lost, what a shame!
MW FROM WIDEOPEN

MW FROM WIDEOPEN

this is awful, just awful.

It fails on four counts
1 - it does not look aggressive, or imposing at all. The world cup 1998 or 2002 shirts did, but this just looks plain and invites no emotion.
2 - it does not look \"England\" you dont look at this kit and instantly think of England, just a bland template that colud be worn as the Lincoln city home or Birmingham away
3 - it does not hark back to the great england kits, such as the \"world in motion 1990\" kit or the early 80s kits.
and most damming of all 4 - for a break from the tradition or keeping it, it does not look striking, pretty or arouse any proud emotions.

2 out of any of those four and youve got a good england shirt. three and youve got a great one. All four, and its a classic
if it is not too late, the designers at Umbro should look at past england kits, and see what made them so great.
Guest

Guest

PEOPLE!
I HAVE JUST NOTICED SOMETHING!!

I think the \"GREY\" may be SKY BLUE!!?!!
I don\'t know if its just me but the way the lighting is on the photo makes it look like grey but it is actually a pale blue.
Please say i am wrong....
If it is then they can\'t even get the right [censored]ing blue right! i actually quite like the fact it has grey on it but if they have put sky blue and instead of navy then that just takes the piss!
Guest

Guest

looks really really bad

more bad than the current away shirt by a mile - and thats bad

why cant they just be nike now they own them ?

i guess sports world will have some fun with the millions of unsold shirts for £3.99 in 6 months time
Guest

Guest

That shirt is worse than the team that\'ll wear it, and that\'s saying something.

Absolute horseshit. Complete and utter garbage. Whoever designed this deserves a swift kick in the pants and a right sacking.
Guest

Guest

One more comment before i hit the road to make it clear just incase the people at Umbro do read these kind of things to pick up on there many many many many many many many mistakes on there first attempt so they can RE-DO and LEARN FROM THERE MISTAKES.

1.) More NAVY BLUE than RED.
2.) The STAR ABOVE THE BADGE.
3.) The UMBRO BADGE on the OPPOSITE SIDE to the ENGLAND SHIELD.
4.) GET RID of the RED OUTER-LINE from AROUND THE BADGE.

I think they are the major points that need to be addressed but otherwise your no where near to a shirt that will be bought for its enitial retail price and will most likely be on sale for £6 at the nearest Sports Soccer on the \"Clearance Sale\"
Guest

Guest

I\'m not sure, well...
If the border around the england badge was the nice grey tone from the colour and so was the umbro logo, it would look a lot better. But i really really think it would look a whole lot better if the umbro logo was on the opposite side.

I do not hate it though?
Guest

Guest

Its a horrible shirt however as there i no blue in the english flag the colour scheme is spot on... bad news for all the premiership teams wearing umbro next year as this will no doubt be the template
Guest

Guest

Terrible Design ... Looks more like Training shirt. The badge with the \"RED\" outline is horrible. Definately will not support on that.
Past few seasons shirt is nicer ...

Not sure about that, seems like Nike, Adidas,Umbro designs nowadays totally out.
Guest

Guest

Not Good

I was hoping for something like the away shirt

however it is an improvement from the last one

I think they should put the umbro thing on the side and put the star above the badge, also they should get rid on the red thing round the badge and get rid of that thing in the bottom left corner picture, what the hell is that? one good thing is they are ditching blue and going with red, which is the\'re national colour.
Guest

Guest

I work in the industry and all I will say is this is not the official kit. There are only a handful of people who know what it looks like, and it will not be seen by the anybody else until literally the last moment, when the players will take their tracksuits off in the friendly against Slovakia. There are a number of details missing from this shirt but like I said.....I won\'t say too much :-)

Just as well too since this shirt is......well, the less said the better.
curswine

curswine

Promotional photo shoots are done months in advance so posters and advertisement features can be done and such, and to put out such a complex fake with a barcode linking to the official umbro website, I highly doubt this is a fake.
Guest

Guest

Every time someone comes on here and says \"this is not the finished kit, I work for (whoever) and this is just a sample\", they turn out to be liars and the pictured shirt turns out genuine. Happened with Chelsea and Liverpool last season (home, away and third, both of them), will happen again this year with England, Chelsea, Bayern etc.

Oh and by the way, this article and the previous update both clearly state the launch date is the 1st of April, when England play the Ukraine in a qualifier - NOT the friendly on the 28th of March with Slovakia. Thank you for playing but you\'re not a winner.
Guest

Guest

Believe what you want but I\'m telling you this is not the kit. As I said, Umbro are going to great lengths to keep it a closely guarded secret, so for them to allow some make-shift photo spread to be leaked on the internet seems to defeat the whole thing. And you can\'t really believe that that is an official promotional photoshoot can you? This is England we\'re talking about.

And Ryan, April 1st is when the shirt will be available to the public. It will be unveiled for the world to see when they play Slovakia. Thanks for trying, though.
Guest

Guest

I just thought about this shirt again...MAYBE Umbro puts out this fake which might look very similar to their best idea and that way they can read what the fans say and will collect the criticism and statements and alter the shirts more to the liking of fans. 1st the red sleeves are not too popular 2 the grey shall be replaced by blue and 3 many ask for the umbro diamond to be moved to the other side and be reaplced by the star...Umbro, read and learn...quickly! (p.s. I don\'t mind the red outline around the England badge!)
Guest

Guest

This is an all time low in kit design....It has to have navy blue on it. But maybe the launch date of April 1st is a bit of a clue ! To be frank it looks like a parks football kit for Hackney Marshes. Sack everyone at Umbro this is a disgrace.
Guest

Guest

I can understand the people saying they prefere the Red because we don\'t have any Navy on our flag but if you hadn\'t noticed we\'ve mainly had navy on the shirt than red.
To simplify it....
White Shirt with Navy Trim.
Red Numbers.
Navy Shirts.
White Socks.
That is where Umbro should of started from to make the majority of people to like the shirt and actually buy it unlike the last one.
I a little bit of Red trim but i personally prefere more Navy trim than red so Im hoping that this is just a teaser just for either Umbro to get feedback from the people or just to take peoples thoughts of what the actual shirt will look like and stur up some controversy before the actual shirt is released.
I know that the England team have been photographed in the new shirt so people have seen it but they seem to be trying extremely hard to impress the the whole country after the last shirt was so poor and also they are trying extremely hard to keep it under raps so \"im hoping\" that this is just a teaser (training kit to put people off what the actual shirt is) rather than the actual thing.
Guest

Guest

I think Umbro is going to bankcrupt very soon. What a ugly shirt. They just want use different design elements and they messed up. Maybe neck and template is different or nice but why did they used red and grey colours on the shirt? Ist could have been Poland home or Switzewrland awaykit but definetely not for England.

Poor English fans, you always lose on the semi finals on the tournaments, plus you have been using ugliest kits in the planet for all the time...
Guest

Guest

guys do you actually think this is the shirt, many times fake shirts have been posted on websites before the launch and have always been so far off the mark!

I can\'t beleive everyone is so stupid and is falling for such a classic spoof! wake-up everyone

My point is lets not judge until we see the real thing, i\'m sure
Guest

Guest

Disgusting!!! Should be good for a training top...and what\'s that grey trim? And the red sleeves? Should be good for poland or austria or turkey away but not for England...I was waiting for a true classic plain white with just a little touch of red and blue and RED NUMBERS as tradition not for this nasty one...I\'ve always loved Umbro but this is really horrendous...why not use the away design just with white instead of red....At least I hope this is a template and not the definitive one...

This is horrendous. It has so many different design traits it has ended up looking like everyone who works at Umbro had a go at doing their little bit!

Why oh why should the manufacturers logo sit ABOVE the England crest, are they really saying that a clothing manufacturer is more important than an entire footballing nation.

The shirt should be a simple white shirt with the three lions crest on the right, it doesn\'t even need the word England above it, it\'s the same as The FA, it was THE first. Everyone else needs to seperate theirs from ours with their nations name along side it!

The Umbro logo should be embroided in white, suble but class. Sitting their as a gentle reminder of who makes the kit, but certainly not emblazoned every where in technicolour.

There should be no more silly red flashes everywhere, shadow logos, silly and patronising St George\'s flags...it makes it so contrived!

Simple. Look at the classic kits around the world that we love and long for...

Brazil 1958, 1970
Italy 1970, 1982
Germany 1966, 1970, 1974, 1978, 1982
Argentina 1978, 1986
France 1978
Holland 1978
Man Utd 2000
Forest 1979
Spurs 1981
Ajax 1970\'s

C\'mon England, dump Umbro and switch to someone who respects the cause and understands whats right.

Don\'t any of you sad bastards ever think that if you stopped buying this crap, they\'d eventually stop changing it every couple of years? You\'re all just suckers, buying club and country shirts every time they change them. The team\'s so appalling anyway(compare them with Spain this week), that they could go out in knitted tanktops and it wouldn\'t make any difference.

i scanned tht square barcode thing in the picture. it lead back to the umbro site. if its fake, theyve went to gr8 lengths....im jus hopin its some other england merchandise like a trainin top or somethin, if thts the genuine 09/11 shirt, what a f***ing disaster

Go to yahoo, type in Umbro, and read what is written under the official website link. The new shirt is launched on MARCH 28th. That pic is the most blatant fake i\'ve ever seen, cant believe so many people have fallen for it.

The shirt will be worn for the first time on April Fools\' Day so despite the release being a few days earlier the 1/4 does have significance.

Fake? A hell of a lot of effort has gone into it if it\'s a fake. We\'ll see...

I think it\'ll look much better when theyre playin.....definitely a potential cult classic. you lot are always complaining that the designs are completely unoriginal and now that you have a completely original design what do you do....moan!

for crying out loud give it a chance. in six months you\'ll wonder how you ever hated it

APRIL

FOOLS

YOU

FOOLISH

PEOPLE!!

This says its the shirt is going to be released on the 1st April when in actual fact its being released on the 28th March so it doesn\'t take a rocket scientist to work it out.
But to be honest i wouldn\'t put money on it getting better than this so if peoples expectations were already low which they most probably were then this as good as it will probably get. They will probably shoot themselves in the foot by bringing out an even worse shirt than this so brace yourself people! brace yourself!

i think that umbro produces the best-quality products... with a unique high technology manufacturing ideas .. they really show their efforts.. but their problem is the lack in good taste in distributing colours in their templets... if we look at nike and puma who in contrast work less and acheive more because they represent their new ideas in a modernized classic way.. this kit would\'ve looked better if they had reduced the relative huge RED parts in it.. gray touches are new in england and look acceptable...
thank you..

To all the people saying it\'s an April Fools joke, consider this for a moment.

Would a company like Umbro, already struggling on the back of their biggest national team clients not making it to Euro 2008 and then retailers PANNING their last England away as not very good (I like it but my opinion isn\'t what matters), already without a deal with a single Premiership big 4 side and only ONE team from the former G-14 (Lyon), already limited in scope by not having any other sports in their portfolio to fall back on and only a modest share of the leisure wear market, and also dealing with the same discouraging financial climate, really commit resources, to setting up an April Fools joke that a) could have negative impacts on the standing that as I\'ve already detailed is a bit tarnished, and b) would have very little scope to become a successful publicity stunt? The Umbro brand could disappear forever in those circumstances.

This isn\'t an April Fools joke because this isn\'t the time for companies one bad quarter away from dire financial trouble to pull stunts like that. What it is is a genuinely experimental design born of desperation on Umbro\'s part not to just fade into obscurity as the Nike-Adidas duopoly expands, and one that is not going to be well received.
Guest

Guest

Ryan you might be right but any publicity is good publicity and to be honest Umbro need all they can get so this might be them sticking there neck out and after there last attempt of designing an England shirt didn\'t go down very well i think they are trying to keep the \"actual\" home shirt under raps until the actual release date which is on the 28th March and not 1st April which is stated on here.
To be honest i could give a shit because all manufacturers are all the same and produce the same kit for every other country and team and not make them individually to get the actual history or style of the teams they sponsor.
If they do make a unique shirt design with the style of some of the legendary designs then it will be a very very very surprised man.
To get back to you Ryan, most of the shit on here is a load of made up bollocks created by people that have to much time on there hands anyway so its bound to create different views hence why companies also create things like this to put people of the sent of what the actual shirt looks like.
I\'ve probably repeated myself like 20 times now but thats because Im extremely bored and have nothing else to do! bye!
Guest

Guest

Ryan - you\'re right it isn\'t an April fool, it\'s a way for Umbro to find out how people like you or at least this site get this type of information ahead of a launch.

it isn\'t the shirt though. LU3Y prepared to be surprised.

and remember they are now owned by Nike.
Guest

Guest

Oh i am already prepared don\'t you worry!
After many years of hoping for a decent England shirt Umbro have prepared the country nicely to produce never ending shit shirts now that everyone will be expecting it!

Oh thanks for reminding me!...i forgot to add earlier that now that Umbro are owned by Nike i doubt that they will have much money problems unless Nike get rid of them (which is probably most likely after there constant appalling designs).

I JUST WANT A A NICE ENGLAND SHIRT!
PLEASE GRANT ME THIS ONE WISH UMBRO....PLEASE! haha. (not going to happen!)
Guest

well, this definately ain\'t a fake, but we can but hope that it was one of the rejected designs and this is just a bluff by umbro before the real new one is unveiled. Any decent company will respond to customer feedback, and if anyone from umbro reads these comments, they will know not to release this monstrocity of a kit. One user said the euro 96 kit was the best ever. er, no it wasn\'t it didn\'t even have any red in it. I think the 03/04 reversible kit was the best of the more formal collared shirts, and the follow up with the red cross on the shoulder the best of the collarless shirts. I thought the 07/08 one was not great till I saw this new one. Now I\'m thinking it\'s not that bad.

if this is the england shirt, which gets released on april 1st, then i\'ll buy you one myself.

THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE NEW ENGLAND SHIRT FFS.

the white is ok. the three lions emblem on the heart is ok too.
but, oh my days, the collar and the sleeves of this shirt look like from an eastern european team kit in the 80\'s.
i\'m wonderin how the shorts look. i bet they are tight and way too short.
anyway.
please umbro don\'t take the piss.

:D That\'s totally untrue!!! This wont be the kit for sure, is just a kind of loke (very bad by the way) i am pretty sure the new England shirt will be much better than this kake crap!

By the way did somebody know if the red kit 2008/10 will be the one they will use for the world cup 2010 in case they qualify?

Thanks!

If the people that think this shirt is the real one then take a look at the NEW Umbro logo that has been released, then take a look at this leaked shirt and then you might notice that there not the same logo because the new one is much more squared off like the one in the 70\'s and the one on this shirt is still the stretched out version so can people stop thinking or saying that this is the next England home shirt because it isn\'t. A thank you!

The shirt might be shit, but at least we will be able to wear it in the World Cup, which is something that cant be said by Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Maybe they can have their own little tournament to make them feel better and they can have the most amazing kits, but who cares becaue no [censored]er would be watching the shit

Hello, did non of you see the Channel 4 \'fake football\' documentary.

As Usual Umbro release pictures of a \'Fake\' England shirt,
so that factories in the far east can begin to copy it, and get it out there.
Then the police can sting them all, and save Umbro a packet in
lost shirt sales abroad.

Clever!

This is not the new England shirt,
the new top has a Collar-
a \'Taylored by umbro in England\' Badge on the bottom left,
and looks like a far more classic shirt.

Can\'t wait!
COME ON THE LADS!

Its a fake Dw i know becoz umbro have re designed the badge its a lighter blue capello has a thing about white shirts he wants this shirt to look like the original kit the way England use to be.

By retro looking I think they mean \"cheap\". It looks like a fake kit that I would buy from Turkey then go out and get it covered in beer and puke. Jut do a plain white one, blue v neck and really tight shiny blue shorts a la Sir Gary of the Line Acre. Ooooh yeah. All in all I like it and will be buying it. £49.99!!! Ok maybe not.

Guys guys guys....

In case you haven\'t noticed, that proposed England shirt which thankfully isn\'t being used is a disgrace!!!!! Look at the material, that is clearly an unfinished product, there are no other textures for the underside of the pits, that\'s how you can tell it\'s not finished..

HELLOOOOOO!!!! The star should be the least of your worries. This England kit has grey on it!!!! I don\'t care what you guys say, grey is a terrible colour to use on an England kit, on the back of a shirt when the design is that poor. It just doesn\'t look right. Talk about crazy, I mean the sleeves are fine red but for goodness\' sake, don\'t make it look like that! They look like something from PES! (maybe Arsenal\'s design, white stripes! lol)

HELLOO! The design, seams the very seams define Umbro\'s poor reputation, because like the Liverpool shirt, last season, the white lining was the seam, Arsenal 04/5, the yellow lining was the seam, the fact that all the navy\'s been ditched is poor, not least the fact the crest, umbro itself and neck are red!
It won\'t be used, for a start, the crest wil have no Englend on the top, a banner on the bottom, instead and the crest will be a brighter blue, besides, I have heard Capello has been in on the design and the makers of the shirt have gone to the England footie museum in Preston to get an idea of what TRADITION in England looks like so they can make a totally inspirational Englend design, this is comepletely the opposite.

hmm, na dont like it.. looks more like a trining shirt rather than a match shirt.. needs more blue on aswell.. to much red i think. and if thats the new style for umbro.. future everton, hull, west brom etc shirts are going to look awful...

I really couldn\'t give a toss about the star as long as the kit looks nice. But this..... THIS! WHO THE **** DESIGNED THIS!!! I say scrap umbro and get a decent sponsor like adidas or nike or something that looks okay to wear out of a bed.

This you all might be barking up the wrong tree here. I reckon that shirt pictured raining top that has been leaked so that websites like this one spread it around. It looks too unfinished and plain to be the new shirt. You heard it here first..
