New England Kit - Size Chart

new-england-kit-size.jpg

As the new England shirt has been crafted by top bespoke tailors, based on bodily contours and the aesthetics of the anatomy, Umbro have changed the way their sizing works.

Small, Medium and Large are a distant memory as we move into the realms of chest sizes.  Having the choice between 34,36,38,40,42,44,46,48 and 50 will help you to achieve that fitted tailored look.

“But I don’t know how to measure my chest size!” I hear your cry.

Fear not, here is a comprehensive guide to measuring your chest size and some other important tailor’s measurements just in case the new England kit inspires you to get all your clothes tailored from now on…

How do I measure my chest size?

Take measurements under armpits, around fullest part of chest and shoulder blades.

Have you ever seen as much pish in your whole life???

Fairly certain if you look in every football shirt it details both new & old sizes.

Yet more attempts at hyping up a shirt (that let

this better be an awesome shirt because they\'ve hyped it up so much. Theey expectations are really high and if they don\'t deliver, there will be a lot of mad fans

Surely people know what the chest sizes are in cm don\'t they, i usually look to see what the chest size is rather than looking for S, M, L and so on because each brand has different sizing so you have to thee days. But i suppose this is just another way to hype the shirt up and keep to the classy tailored approach. I just still hope they don\'t embarrass themselves by hyping it up to much and then delivering either a uninspiring design or a usual Umbro over styled patchwork quilt. Personally i have a feeling it will be a good new shirt that people will like but that might be just wishful thinking and whatever it will look like it will still have its critics so i guess you can never win in this kind of things anyway.

At Crystal Palace the shirts in the club shop are sold that way, I think the fit is better as there are more exact sizes, but it is harder to find what you need

Waaaay too complicated. I predict a U-turn by the time the the successor shirt arrives. Punters can\'t be *rsed with this level of detail. You\'re buying a shirt, not a wedding suit. XS - XXL is teh equivalent of traffic light labelling on food - about as easy as it *can* get.

Fools!

Umbro are really digging a big hole for themselves:
- First they annonced that the shirt would be 50 pounds
- Then there were the \'leaked\' photos
- Then all the tailoring blurb and the oppotunity to pre-order the 50 quid shirt
- Now more \'bespoke tailoring\' blurb and a new size guide
If this is not the best shirt ever made everyone will consider it to be a complete failure.

All this hype is really funny...and so quintissentially \'ENGLISH\' !

loosely transated I mean - its \'********\'

(I\'m English)..

But isn\'t it just like us to try and distract forn the fact we havn\'t won **** for over 30 years !?

Do you think the Germans or Spanish or Brazillians do this **** when they release a new shirt ? . .
No.. I bet they just say.. \'Heres the new shirt, isn\'t it nice ? , but who cares, lets go kick some ****in\' arse\'

Which is what we should be doing.....

What utter sh1t and complete bollox. Umbro have been taken over by the kings of marketing sh1t...nike so what do you expect an over hyped average waste of money shirt.....bespoke actually means made to order specifically for an individual . So when i rock up to JJB I expect the spotty oick serving me to measure me for a shirt which fits me and only me hmmmm. Even then it still won\'t be worth £50. I hope that in these dark financial times people don\'t buy this shirt . You can bet they would be protesting if they tried this in other countries for their national team shirt....its called taking p1ss. Don\'t stand for it !

Hang on folks... you\'re bemoaning \'hype\' on a site called Football Shirt Culture that is all about the inside scoop, spy photos and hype around football shirts. Why don\'t you just enjoy it all instead of censoreding. Yes, it\'s just a shirt but I reckon it will be pretty decent judging by the people involved and we\'ll know soon enough.

ja that\'s the biggest bunch of sh1t i\'ve heard!!! it\'s just there to confuse consumers even more... it can never be tailored because they come off the same production line! hello~ so adding a few sizes between S/M/L/XL etc. doesn\'t mean that the have to change the whole size chart... waste of time and money. just another excuse to expensive football shirts...
