Newcastle United unveiled the new 09/10 third kit made by Adidas.
Newcastle United will wear their new 3rd kit for the 2009/10 season when they face Dundee United in their final warm-up fixture of the summer at Tannadice Park on Sunday.
The black and blue outfit goes on sale on Thursday, August 27 and is available through the FSC shop soon.
United will not be wearing the 3rd kit shorts and socks at Dundee United as a result of a colour clash with the hosts.

looks like a \"San Telmo\" Shirt from 3rd Division in Argentina.
TOONTOON BLACK ND WHITE ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP SIR BOBBY ROBSOn
And I hope you do well I dont know why everyone wants you lot down but come straight back up with the League and your good to go..
But why the hell do they need a 3rd kit ?
Its not too different from the home shirt so why the hell would they need to wear this?
18 goals yeah total gash isnt he we're gaan up as champions yellow kit, blue stipes n kevin nolan and all TOON TOON !!!!!!
Lets say they playing a team who\'s home shirt has white on it.....
Does the Newcastle home shirt have a lot of white on it.....Yes.
Does the Newcastle away shirt have a lot of white on it.....Yes.
Does the Newcastle third shirt have a lot of white on it..................Bingo.
So therefore they might well wear this shirt against the likes of Derby County, Doncaster Rovers, Preston North End, Sheffield United and Swansea City.
There we go, not so hard when you put more than a nanosecond of thought into it.
The teams you\'ve listed wont clash with the away kit so again i ask who will they wear this kit against?
Here\'s a thought actually. Has any British team ever had 3 striped kits in their inventory for one season before?
Another bizarre choice given the prominence of black on the home kit, but it\'s a million times better than the horrible banana and custard kit.
kits alrite not great
But I really can\'t see when they will ever need this new one. They might wear it at Derby, perhaps against Sheff Utd.
I see no other use for it. I reckon it was commissioned in response to unexpected poor shirt sales of the banana kit.
Absolute greed by NUFC and panic after the backlash against the oranges and lemons kit.
Money-grabbing ba$tards deserve to be where they are, more managers than hot dinners in the past ten years, a club we all love but that has totally lost direction for way too long. Great fans does not guarantee anything, a big club gets it\'s name from trophies, not fan base. Leeds, Forest and Sheff Weds are an example of that.
I feel sorry for the true fans who feel \'obliged\' to wear the latest kit....
Just another club playing on the emotions of the genuine fan.
Quit whining. You feel sorry for the fans \"obliged\" ????? Suckers.
Could be confusing in the NE pubs and clubs this season.
I think that we will see it against Blackpool
On the colours, its the least I can expect from an \"owner\" and people running the club who are letting it die a slow death. Being in the championship because your players gave their best is one thing, being there because of chronic mismanagement is another, but being there with the owner seemingly letting the club go down the ****ter is another, one that nobody should endure.
Newcastles Solaro shirt doesnt have white on it, its more of a cream. Also, considering that over half of the kit WONT clash with white there is no point in the kit. If Hull were still in the division, then you MIGHT understand it but in this case you can\'t. You could also understand if the 3rd shirt didnt have stipes for when they played against Shefield or Reading for example.
But regardless of your argument above, if they knew that the would be playing teams in white, shirely they make sure that there away kit something like Yellow And Blue - not striped (for example) so that they wouldnt need to market another kit.
I would say I feel sorry for Newcastle for the way they are being run...but that would be lying.
you forgot one other point.....this kit was designed and presented to the club last season at the same time as the home and the away for this season, and both seem like afterthoughts. \"Right, we have done the home, thats fine, who gives a **** what the change is.......\"
I love football shirts...which is why I come to this site.......Look at the monaco kits for a bunch of pointless away kits though.....!!
It was worn against Dundee with blue shorts & socks, so why wasn\'t the whole kit just blue with black/white trim? That would have made more sense than a copy of the home kit but in black/blue.
They had a white/sky \"Argentina\" kit a few years ago which was never worn in a competative game & the silver 80\'s retro one was only worn once in a pre-season friendly. This may be a similar fate for this one too?
well anythink better than that but yeah its nice
R.I.P
Sir
Bobby
not a bad kit he\'s wearing there though
errr...... sorry, wrong room
Last seasons (and the season before that) kits was mainly BLACK....
So....
this rather lovely black & blue number is a decent enough away kit for Newcastle..I think its pretty slick...
and people who say \'its exactly the same as the home shirt but with blue on it\' aren\'t paying enough attention...
most mid table premiership teams dont even have them
