Palmeiras officially launched their new 09/10 kits made by adidas at the estádio Palestra Itália, and also announced that Samsung is the new shirt sponsor of Palmeiras.

The agreement between Palmeiras and Samsung is signed for three years and the total value of the shirt sponsorship deal is GBP 14 million, plus bonuses for performance. The alliance also provides for the supply of Samsung products to the club, and a plan for activation with the crowd, being developed by Samsung.

"We are happy to sign partnership with the football team of Palmeiras, a club recognized internationally for its great achievements and history of success in training and management of talent in sports," said Jose Roberto Ferraz de Campos, executive vice president of Samsung.

"The incentive to return to football strengthens our ties with the method and the objective of increasing investments aimed at developing sports in the country," he added.

The contract includes the exposure of the Samsung brand in official match kits, training equipment, travel, tour and staff gear. Additionally, the agreement gives Samsung the right to exploit backdrops and plates in the field, and the electronic scoreboard in the stadium,among other spaces.
