As a Pompey fan I am sad to see Canterbury go. The quality & materials they use are excellent, plus the designs were original and looked good. Perhaps their costs were too high to survive - shame..

I\'ve got a feeling that might be the home kit, not the away. portsmouth wore a white shirt very similar to that as a their home kit in the mid 70\'s and seeing as everybody seems to be going retro lately that would make sense.

Really a shame that CCC Europe went into administration. They really dove into the football market just a few years ago with quite a popularity among fans that continued to build quickly thanks to some wonderful designs like this one.

Nice to see that Portsmouth stuck with the company despite apparently knowing that they were going to close their doors in Europe.

love the white and green, not so sure about the pink though! the pompey kits for the past two seasons have been top class ( miles better than the rubbish pompey had for the 4 seasons before that) cant wait to get my hands on the white kit, love it

No wonder they went bust. They are in the Puma school of putting far too many logos on their shirts. You only need one FFS!

That logo below the neck on the away shirt totally ruins what could have been a decent kit.

So, judging from all the thumbs down I got, you lot can\'t get enough of the ugly logos plastered all over these kits!

How many do you want? Three not enough? Maybe four or five will be better?

What I was saying is if the logo had been placed on theright, opposite the badge like on Umbro and Nike shirts, it would have been great. The logo on the collar looks utter sh*te!

cracking kits.

shame canterbury have gone into administration as they have been top class.

like the Lionheart quote, but with the team being sold off worry that the reference to 8 points may be self fulfilling...

I personally think they are nasty kits. Theres the classy simple look and then there\'s the cheap look which the above falls under imho. Not a massive fan of the new crest design either, again looks very cheap.

There are nice simple kits and then there are just plain boring ones, the white one is decent i suppose the green looks a bit plain and boring, as for the pink one who do they think they are Palermo
hope these are unfinished versions, as despite not being a fan of Pompey they usually do produce great looking kits.

now that\'s what I\'m talking about. simple yet elegant. collar shape is my all time
favourite, filled in V neck with wings.

only minus being the canterbury logo on the V. ruined the retro feel of it completely.

to kpollard_2-

I dont think they are going to have sponsors this year.. Their deal with Oki is up and Al-Fahim has stated that he doesnt need sponsor money and he\'d rather play for a charity.. Which charity that is, we\'ll have to see..

But I love the new white ones.. Classy and simple.. Shame to see Canterbury go under..

Thats definitely the away kit. There\'s been some leaked designs and the home kit is the traditional blue, and I believe with a return to the white/red shorts/socks combo. I personally like the away kit. Nice to see a throwback to old portsmouth shirts. Looking forward to the home kit release tomorrow.

White retro kit is interesting though we got relegated in similar during the 70\'s. Must be the away kit though, Blue has to be the traditional home kit as this white was not wanted as the home version which as I say saw us relegated in darker times,(some of the newer fans are in panic mode at the moment as they don\'t seem to understand the staunchness shown by the traditional Pompey fans when the going gets tough off the pitch).
Play Up Pompey !

I agree with a previous comment - sad the company went under, and it is a classy kit. I guess the bigger companies stay afloat by reducing costs and offering simple t-shirt designs. If that is the strategy, then Nike is wildly successfull this year.

Fantastic kits, especially the white away one.As a goalkeeper\'s shirt the pink one is ok but not as good as the trad looking green kit.
The season after this new one it would be good to have Umbro or Adidas as kit supplier.We\'ve never had an Adidas kit.

the Away is fantastic, love the quote on the inside of the collar. The home looks a little plain, but its still good, and I think James will look pretty snazzy in the change kit :cheer:

and Pompeysquirrel, as a toon fan, be careful what you wish for by wanting adidas as the kit supplier. Just look at the Toon away kit

Bit surprised about Canterbury going under. Does that mean we have to buy shirt sooner rather than later to avoid disapointment
Good luck Dr Al-Fahim.

I hope somebody buys this brand to keep it afloat. Canterbury have been making the best kits in the Prem the last two seasons and I would hate to see them go. Their designs are nice because they manage to be really unique from Nike Adidas etc. yet also very clean and stylish. Not sure about the pink GK top though.

It\'s not the manufacturing arm of Canterbury that went bust, it was the European distributor. That means that there is every possibility Pompey will still have these kits this season through either a direct deal with Canterbury in New Zealand, or to buy through an administrator acting on behalf of the failed business.

BTW does anyone know what the delay is in the release of the home kits from PFC? They were supposed to come out today, but now all it says in the shop is \"coming soon\" and they have not been revealed as of this moment.. Any explanations?

Romano: I contacted the Pompey shop and they said that the new kit isn\'t released until 14th August though obviously it has now been officially revealed as they played in it against Havant. I believe the away kit is meant to be launched this month which I can assume is the case as those pictures are from Kitbag\'s website. The third shirt isn\'t expected to be released until September which I can only assume they will wear for the first time against Villa as that is the only away game that month. Either that or the only team they will need to wear the black kit against will be Blackburn on 7th November.

Really like the white kit.
It would be improved by removing the logo from the neck line but it is still very nice.
It looks good without a sponsor, however the home shirt from the Havant game looks a little bland without one.
http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/index.php?cms_ref=news&qs_article_id=2627

The goal keepers shirts are nice and simple, though I doubt the pink one will get too many outings.

It is a real shame Canterbury Europe have gone under, I really liked their kits, especially after years of terrible Pompey shirts previous to them arriving. They also made really nice rugby shirts.

Enjoy your trips to Carlise, Stockport and Yeovil, I am sure they will be thrilling, as your stadium will look great half full playing 3rd Division football (You can try and make it sound better by saying League 1, but it is still the 3rd Division)

If you did not see the photo, we do have a shirt sponsor, Canterbury might have gone bust, but we still have enough kit that has already been delivered.

I would worry about your own problems and starting the season with minus 10 points is only going to be a season battling against relegation again, as that would be funny if you were to drop to Division 4.
