Real Madrid officially unveiled the new kits made by Adidas to be worn by its players during the 2009/10 season which are available in the FSC shop. Regarding the design, there are three important novelties in respect to last year’s shirt. Among these novelties is the inclusion of a silver crest of modernist design. The symbol, which represents the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, is a tribute to Real Madrid and its football sanctuary. It is a stage that has witnessed Real Madrid’s glorious accomplishments in sports and it reflects the essence and grandeur of the club.

The short also includes a yellow trim that recalls that golden days of Real Madrid and a retro-style round collar as a tribute to the shirt worn by Don Alfredo di Stefano, considered to be the best Real Madrid player of all time. These design details indicate the Club’s desire to recollect its glorious past with the goal of recovering the essence of the club to confront the future with the highest assurance of success.

The new Real Madrid shirt has been designed to win. To gain in speed, in perspiration and in comfort. The secret lies in the incorporation of innovative textile technologies by adidas: Flow Mapping™ (new generation ClimaCool® ) and ForMotion™ that provide increased lightness, mobility and perspirability.

FLOW MAPPING™ technology increases air flow to provide more ventilation, thus guaranteeing maximum absorption and moisture transfer.  After studying the “body map,” mesh inserts were added to increase ventilation in the areas of the body that produce the most heat. The new radical cuts and three-dimensional design optimize fit and player comfort, providing for total freedom of movement..

The shirt also includes ForMotion™ technology such as seamless stitching, serigraphed stripes and embroidered crests.

Home shirt looks nice, Like the template, but it would have been better with violet trim instead of black. Like the embossed early MCF crest on the left of the shirt, but the Real Madrid script on the back is pointless, its not like anyone is going to wonder who the team is

Away is nice too, the navy and sky blue works well, and the sewed in design on the left breast I like too. The club crest couldd have been a bit bigger though, nad the sponsor smaller

Knowing this egomaniac he will probably demand Raul\'s number 7. More realistically, he will wear number 9 and Kaka will wear 10. Those are the latest rumours. (I know, exciting isn\'t it!) :woohoo:

They tried to make Kaka wear \"Zidane\'s\" number 5 but Ricky said \"get lost, I\'m not wearing that crap.\" Which is what Zidane should have told them too.

incredible....arguably the dullest offering ever by Adidas and lets face it there have been plenty of dull shirts .Correction there have been 2 shirts which are the same which they pedal to all of their clubs Plus the teamwear strip which they flogged to dopey Middlesboro because the Dog & Duck pub couldn\'t raise team this year to wear such a sh1t kit.

The away kit isn\'t the worst.

As for squad numbers if anyone outside of Raul deserves the Number 7 it\'s David Villa

Can\'t understand why the girl in the photo isn\'t wearing the shirt rather than moody Robben.Perhaps she\'s a secret Barca or Atletico Madrid fan!!!
Home shirt is rubbish. The stripes are better in purple and the away kit is slightly better in overall effect.
I can already imagine C.Ronaldo falling to the floor in them and looking for free kicks and penalties.

The worst diver in football.. and that\'ll probably be the last time he ever puts on a shirt from a Champion\'s League club...

0 # 2009-06-20 21:18
wow this is by far the best looking RM shirt in years, very contemporary and the yellow stripes coming form the neck to the slleves and cutting the 3 stripes is the best asset of this shirt
when i saw it before ronaldos signing with RM, i thought whoah nice looking i definitely would buy it, now i can wait to have one with ronaldos name and number on the back :woohoo:

PD: lol robben promoting the shirt? just in time he (or the club) will porbably force his exit due to the little chance of playing now that they have very big players coming

0 # 2009-06-22 09:47
Shame it\'s a fat, balding, middle-aged man modeling the kit rather than the girl in the first pic.

Plus, I\'ve have it with all this \"flow mapping\" technology nonsense. Come on now. It\'s just a shirt. It\'s still made of polyester. It won\'t magically give you amazing football skills.

\"The short also includes a yellow trim that recalls that golden days of Real Madrid and a retro-style round collar as a tribute to the shirt worn by Don Alfredo di Stefano\"

its just a template, also used by other clubs...

I think they look great, a little too obvious that adidas have a template. Home is like Liverpool away and away seems to have same collar as AC Milan, at least I hope it does and it is not one of those flappy ones like they had on the home kit last year..I hate those flappy collars!!

There is only one thing I want now- a long-sleeve shirt available for purchase. All the best clubs- Barcelona, Man UTD, Liverpool, Chelsea etc. were offering (and offer their 09/10 shirts with) a long- sleeve version of their kits. Real Madrid didnt, allthough most of their players wore them (even in the spring). COME ON, REAL/ADIDAS- let us buy a long- sleeved shirt!
