Real Madrid have unveiled their new 09/10 Champions League away kit made by Adidas, which will be available through the FSC shop soon.
The main difference compared to their league away kit is the appearance of a Spanish flag above the Santiago Bernabeu crest, the golden Adidas stripes and logo and a round collar. The symbol, which represents the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, is a tribute to Real Madrid and its football sanctuary.
It is a stage that has witnessed Real Madrid’s glorious accomplishments in sports and it reflects the essence and grandeur of the club. It will also host the final of the this year's Champions League final.
Also on the Champions League shirt are the traditional tributes to the European Cup and the nine titles won by Real Madrid and golden stripes and adidas logo representing the golden days of Real Madrid and a retro-style round collar as a tribute to the shirt worn by Don Alfredo di Stefano, considered to be the best Real Madrid player of all time. These design details indicate the Club’s desire to recollect its glorious past with the goal of recovering the essence of the club to confront the future with the highest assurance of success.
The new Real Madrid away shirt has been designed to win. To gain in speed, in perspiration and in comfort. The secret lies in the incorporation of innovative textile technologies by adidas: Flow Mapping™ (new generation ClimaCool® ) and ForMotion™ that provide increased lightness, mobility and perspirability.
FLOW MAPPING™ technology increases air flow to provide more ventilation, thus guaranteeing maximum absorption and moisture transfer. After studying the “body map,” mesh inserts were added to increase ventilation in the areas of the body that produce the most heat. The new radical cuts and three-dimensional design optimize fit and player comfort, providing for total freedom of movement.

capitalizing a lil too much with the whole kaka/ronaldo/alonso/benzema/...
(wow, when you put it that way, yea, that\'s ok to put out 4 new kits)
still, a little weird that 3 of \'em are in pretty much the same color...
so, if a team puts out 100 kits in a year, if all the other start launching 60 is ok then?
and aint they gonna use the blue kit from last season as a thrird as that was pretty nice
They should try some contrasting colours for their away and third kits, like Barca.
But at least they picked such a wonderful kit to copy, even if they can\'t do it half as well.
Madrid hasn\'t stolen anything, blame adidas for just overusing the same 2-3 templates for each of their big teams.
btw, This shirt is dark gray and a different shade of gold compared to LFC. I purchased a Lass Diarra #10 shirt and received it last week.
And the most weird: in this pictures Raul wears socks with white stripes and logo when they\'re white at the tops and shorts.
Release another one, and another one....
Thats what its all about.
They would even release a blue-red stripes one if it would sell.
Not my sport anymore!
seriously, if I think the kit looks nice, I would consider buying it, so i don\'t buy every single one of them. Sometimes the design really stinks I hold off the purchase until one that looks lovely.
