Southend United's first team unveiled their all new 2009/10 home Nike kit in their game against Cheltenham Town.

The Blues have reverted to a more traditional look for next season compared to this years strip.

The kit has once again been manufactured by sporting giants Nike, which continues to be popular with supporters and will be out for general sale from 9am on Friday, June 19.

The navy shirt with white sleeves is made with Nike's latest Dri-fit material and constructed to draw away sweat and keep the body cool and comfortable. The shirt uses Nike Dri-fit mesh panelling across the back of the shirt to keep body ventilated.

InsureandGo remain the sponsors on both the front and back of the shirt, and South East Essex College continue to sponsor the shorts.

This season also see's a first for the Club, with the introduction of a Women's Fitted shirt.
The shirt is designed for a more flattering and comfortable fit which comes in sizes 6-8, 8-10, 10-12, 12-14, 14-16 and 16-18.

Thanks to Steve

Obviously a similar template to that used in Arsenal\'s current away, which uses raglan sleeves instead. The simple, two-colour design doesn\'t go too badly with Southend\'s colours.

Love it.

Since i have supported Southend (2003-present) this is definately my favourite kit out of all the kits i have seen us wear.

Beat\'s the 2008-2009 season home kit by miles.

I wasn\'t very fond of the light blue shoulders on last season\'s home kit.

Bring on next season:

My top 3:

1. Southend
2.Charlton
3.Millwall

Forget the photoshopped background and the poor choice of Adidas branded boots, that girls head looks massive! It looks almost cartoon like with those puffed out cheeks. No wonder the sky\'s so dark, her head is blocking out the sun

I know this has nothing to do with the southend kit, but does anybody know if and when west ham will be having a new home kit. This seasons kit is 2008/09, so i presume that means there will be a new one for 2009/10-11

I like the way she gives the photo an authentic local feel by wearing a pair of white stilettos.

Didn\'t like the kit much though when I saw the goals on The Championship last night.

Probably because I\'m late 20s but for me Southend = royal blue shirts, yellow shorts. It all started going wrong when they had that awful Activity kit in the mid 90s.

Nike don\'t supply the kit to Southend, they just go to a teamwear supplier and buy it from there. They\'re not sponsored by nike.

Its ok and just as generic kit from a local supplier .Nike wouldn\'t be bothered with a team like Southend. Perhaps they should wear those hot pants and leg warmers for training kit.
