The new home and away kits made by Surridge for St.Johnstone have been launched at Mcdiarmid Park and the club was delighted to annouce an agreement for shirt sponsorships for the 2009/10 season.

The new home kit is predominantly a the traditional royal blue but with a gold flash instead of the white. The away kit is Maroon, which is in acknowledgement of St.Johnstone's first ever playing kit in their 125th Anniversary Season.

Both clubs feature the 125th Anniversary club crest.

The home shirt is now available to buy online. The home shorts/socks with be available in the coming weeks. Home Shirts will be available to buy at Sunday's Funfest event at McDiarmid Park.

Love the away kit.The home kit looks ok but on the player the collar looks too big and not tight to the neck.Can\'t stand those type of modern collars on shirts.

Not too bad, think the sponsor logos spoil it though.

Why is the manufacturer\'s logo practically under the armpit?

Not bad, would probably look better without the big white oval around the sponsor..

Yeah - any reason why they didn\'t just put it on the shirts in white?

why the gold trim. I hate gold trimming when it is not in traditional club colours. A white collar would have been nicer.

Looks to be something VERY dodgy going on in that picture... Almost looks as though those three sleazy businessmen have got those two young players surrounded and they are trying to get \"favours\" out of them. What a bizarre club this must be.

Because the sponsors have \"brand guidelines\" that state that the logo must be in those colours, on a white background, even if it makes the kit look sh!t.

Hardly any St Johnstone fans like it.

At first I didn\'t like the kit but it has grown on me. But will the quality be up to standard?

Quick check on Wikipedia, population of Perth = about 45,000. Average attendance for St Johnstone = about 3,000.

So let\'s estimate that there\'s around about 25,000 people out there who would describe themselves as St Johnstone fans. Even if you\'re only taking into account those fans who go to watch them play, how can you say that hardly any of them like the kit? Have you checked with them all? And who made you their ****ing spokesman?
