As part of a spectacular launch event to celebrate the beginning of the partnership between Werder Bremen and Nike, over 200 guests were invited to the presentation of the new 09/10 Werder Bremen kits.

"Both parties want to improve. Werder and Nike now make the next step - with this partner, we are positioned best internationally, "said Werder's managing director Klaus Allofs

" Werder Bremen and Nike fit together great. We look forward to the partnership with one of the loveliest and most successful clubs in the Bundesliga ", said Michaela Stitz, manager of Nike Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Tradition and innovative design, harmoniously combined with maximum functionality characterize the new home jersey. This is reflected in a striking, typical Werder green colour, with white sleeves. The famous diamond emblazoned on the left side of the chest, the Nike swoosh on the right., with specific details such as the small diamond pattern on the inside of the collar.

The new Away jersey of Werder Bremen, has four horizontal orange-coloured stripes. The basic color of the jersey is white. The sleeve cuffs and round collar are both in green, the 3rd kit is orange.

The jerseys are made from Nike Dri-FIT material, which gives the player the highest wearing comfort.

Both jerseys will be available from 3.7.2009 in the Fanshop of Werder and in online shops at a recommended retail price of 69.95 euros (adults Shortsleeve) and 54.95 euros (children Shortsleeve).

Wow, these kits are very nice. My favorite is the 3rd (orange), than the away shirt (white) and than the home one. I think these are far better than kappa kits

Love the green one , and for the first time this year (excluding man utd and barca kits) i have seen nike use kits that can\'t be bought from a random teamwear website

I like the Hibs jersey not sure about the orange kit and not really a fan of the thick black/green around the collars etc, saying that, they are clean and simple, well done nike

Nike need some new ideas, I kinda knew what these would look like before this page loaded. Kappa were much more creative.
Shirt wise these look, quality ain\'t bad but overall it\'s uninspiring.

Home kit is deadly dull but the white kit is cracking. The best kit is the orange one.
Simple but effective.

One of the better ones this season. It does evoke the old Arsenal shirts, except in red of course...

Not bad, dont like the green shirt and I think they shouldnt have used orange numbers on them.

The white one looks really good.

Still, these might be the best shirts ive seen so far.

As a Hibs fan, I don\'t like these! I prefer the old Werder strips. FAvourite out of these is the white one.

Being a Werder Fan and shirt collector I was a bit disappointed with the home shirt. The White away one is the best. But as I collect them I will be buying all three.

I though that I will never say this but... bremen\'s kappa shirts were way better than this. These shirts looks kind of simple, extremely simple.

As an Arsenal fan, I am insanely jealous of Werder\'s new range. Our current home strip is crap, the new blue away is all right, but not inspiring, and the new white third is just plain lazy contrasted with Villa\'s new away strip. Werder\'s range is simple, clean, understated and elegant. I also follow Dortmund in the Bundesliga, and since they and Werder seem to have swapped makers, the latter club certainly got the better deal. Dortmund\'s alleged centenary shirt is just tacky, and the keeper kit makes my eyes bleed in between weeping.

Absolutely brilliant. A world class performance by Nike. Class, class, class. I like the white one with orange stripes. Understated, but not too much so.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

as a werder fan i am very happy with these kits and i think ill be buying the orange, all three are very simply in a good way, not trying to do too much like kappa always does (DORTMUND)

Does anybody else find the sponsor logo or writing to be really annoying? I can\'t believe know one has mentioned this. If it wasn\'t for that I would probably like them much better. With that said, the Kappa kits from last year are way better. I think those kits were some of the best I have ever seen.

Hello guys, I\'m from Germany an I\'m Werder Bremen fan. Today I had went to Bremen to buy one shirt an to see how it looks in real.

At first: All three Kits are looking better than on the pictures, the orange looks fresh an the green one is traditional. In my opinion, the white one looks best. So I\'ve buyed it with the number 11 and \"Özil\" on it.

I only want to show, how the numbers are looking, I like it.

I like these very much!!! good job, nike. the only detail I don\'t find too attractive is the thick round collar, but besides that, these kits are very good.

Werder give kit designers an interesting challenge and good scope withe club colours of green, white, orange and black (if I\'m not mistaken). In fairness Nike have come up with decent shirts but if I was going to be picky then I would have gone without the black trim on the home shirt and replaced it with orange. All in all pretty good and miles better than say Nike\'s recent Karlsruhe shamblolic efforts.

I like these kits. Not a fan of Nike usually, but these are great.

As I understand it, the logo on the shirts is the new slogan introduced by Citibank.

o.k, first if all let me just say i hate nike...but i think they did a hell of a great job with the kits. i like it how they distant themselves away from the kappa designs, the kits shown above are fresh! just beautiful! the white kit is freaking amazing...too bad though...i don\'t buy nike stuff. these kits get my vote for one of the best team kits for the 09/10 season.

i love Kappa\'s stuff, but in the past few years they made too many experiments with orange and green. if Werder\'s colours are green-white, then you can add orange maybe for one year, but you shouldn\'t change the whole jersey. This said, i think that Kappa\'s Sampdoria kits or Italy World Cup 2002 are among the best ever
