aberdeen 10-11 nike kits

Aberdeen unveiled the new 10/11 home and away football kits made by Nike.

Aberdeen Football Club today confirmed that current club sponsor Team Recruitment has extended its deal with the Dons for a further twelve months.

Next season the company's logo will adorn the newly designed home and away kits which are modelled here by Richard Foster, Michael Paton, Peter Pawlett and Fraser Fyvie.

Commenting on the deal Aberdeen Football Club's Managing Director Duncan Fraser said. "For the past two seasons, Team has been a fantastic partner for this club and, as a leading local business and longstanding supporters of the Club, recognises what such an agreement can deliver. I am delighted that we are continuing the close relationship with Terry Allan and the Team staff as we move into what we know will be an extremely challenging period for the Club."

Thanks to Andrew

I love Aberdeen as a club and a city, and how the history of both are just amazing. But this heritage is not on show, not on this shirt, or any of the past 15 or so seasons. For one of the most successful scottish team in Europe, the team has been given very little recognition, just the two stars above the badge. No retro vertical stripes nothing. It pains me that Nike shirts for every team thats not big business are sooo generic. There is no thought, this is a shirt straight from the Nike teamwear range, check it for your self, for such a big club and a club with such condition, regardless of how they are currently performing, this is rubbish. And Nike should be ashamed, but its all about buy cheap sell big is supose.

Big club? in the 80's mate. Aberdeen arent famous anymore and their fickle fans need to understand that. They are just a wee team. Their performance this year shows that. Shite top for a shite team

Completely agree. Its just ashame how kit manufacturs are now obsessed with money and big business instead of club's rich history and proud achievements. For example in this case Aberdeen, rich with history, one of our most famous clubs and achieved quite successful honours but Nike have constantly giving them little recognition. Even Dundee United, again with rich history and one of our most successful teams but this seasons kit shows little recognition. Its just ashame nowadays with big name kit suppliers, basically professional teams given a catalogue of standard kit designs, choose whatever template they fancy with the club colours and thats it. We need more individuality in our clubs kits again, individuality in football is missing...its a sad state

Its a stock design so never gonna be bespoke because Aberdeen dont get there kits direct from Nike. They are not a big enough club, thats why Hamilton have a plain nike kit aswell. They buy from stockists. Adidas have been leading for years so no suprise how plain and boring the nike kits are this season.

Really like. Nice and simple, though the pointless white bit on the socks are no good.

It's a smart kit, and one of Nike's more expensive designs.

I laugh at the sponsor though, quite appropriate given the amount of players the Dons would need to sign to have a decent side next year

I know its a teamwear kit but its still looks ok.

Also think its more than likely that both Fulham and MK Dons might be wearing that whitle kit next season (if they're stciking with nike that is?)

I agree with you whole-heartedly there mate, there can be simple but effective shirts, but this, and whoever designed it, is in the territory of can't be arsed

why nike still need to hire kit designers. Plain, simple, plain, simple, yea maybe some of you like nike because of its simplicity. If I buy this kit this year, I wont be bother to get another new one next year. It will be the same, not same design, but same simple design. does nike makes it unique? hell no

Considering they wore black and gold stripes for nearly 40 years of their history, they could at least do something interesting with their alternate kit.

yes its teamwear...but its Nike quality.

have you seen Wolves' new kits? be thankful its not Burrrger or whatever the FK its called.....
theres a ton of SH!T at the moment: Surridge, Vandanel, Macron to name a few, so in my opinion......if you have Nike or Adidas, you have a nice kit....

I agree with most of what's been written here, but just on another note, it's good to see a sponsor willing to change the colour of its logo to suit the shirt.

I don't know why everyone is moaning about "templates" again. Back in the sixties, virtually every club wore Umbro Aztec shirts or Butka's identical design and it did not bother anyone. In the 70s, Aberdeen wore the same Admiral template as Motherwell and Manchester United. In the 80s, they wore the same Adidas template as Ipswich. Now they have the same as Brazil. It is not an offensive looking shirt either!

As a Manchester United fan, I'd much rather see my team wearing that white "teamwear" shirt than the bespoke one we have for next season, too.

hope to JC himself that the link to the rangers home kit is nowhere near what our Home kit will look like, otherwise for the first season in almost a decade I WILL NOT be buying the new rangers home jersey!!!

Not to go too far from the real point of this aberdeen shirt, I think its a real shame that a kit maker like Nike cannot be arsed to make a strip thats at least a little bit different from teh past 5 years!!! liked this seasons aberdeen top alot, but this new one is a borin template, if aberdeen can attract nike then hopefully they could attract adidas instead, at least their Kit templates are smart lookin

Obviously a generic out of catalogue kit but the home kit is much better than last seasons. However they could have been more adventurous with the away one. The crest is even in black and white which looks daft.
